New Ramen Shop OK Jul 07, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Ramen

Its a new food joint at Star vista, so my friends and i decided to give it a try. I had their "signature", but it wasn't awesome. The eggs given was hard boil egg, and not the traditional ramen egg with soft runny yolk that i was expecting. $1.50 had to be added for the traditional egg on the side, onto the original cost of the ramen at $13.90++. Their soup had a strong smell of bamboo shoot, which might not be to everyones liking. In addition, the soup was too salty for my liking.

Average western food OK Jul 07, 2013

A pretty small shop located at the perimeter of Star Vista. I went with a group of 6 friends, and the waitress there are pretty bad at seating people. They keep allowing small groups of 2 pax to enter, making our overall waiting time to around 30 minutes. Lucky they still have the brains to take our order first so that we are able to be served immediately when we are seated. I had the sausage and pork chop set, that comes with salad and spaghetti($12.90++). The sausage was pretty alright, typical but not fantastic. The pork meat on the other hand, is tough and hard to cut. In addition, it is tasteless without much marination.

Pizza  OK May 14, 2013

Another 1 for 1 pizza place, and because of that, it is very reasonable priced. I only paid ~11 dollars for a pizza. I ordered the ocean spring pizza, that consist of prawn, onions, squids and mayo with BBQ sauce as the base. They were not generous with the ingredient ( more of prawn than squid), but was very generous with their sauce. I didnt like the BBQ sauce with seafood toppings, though for the price paid, it is worth.

Price hike!  OK May 13, 2013

It has been a while since i had drink from koi, and the reason is that, there are so many other brands that are popping all over the island! Koi is relatively harder to find.

Anyway, i had the green tea macchiato, which now cost $2.40, a hike of 50cents from previously! But well, it is well established with loyal customers base.

The milk foam on the top make up almost half of the whole cup. While i do like the milk foam, they are very inconsistent with the serving. This time round, i ended up having a super sweet milk tea. :/

Puff Puff!  OK May 06, 2013

Mirana Cake House is a small shop, that is not well known ( at least from the response of my friends) Whenever i patronize this shop, i would get the cake. Out of curiosity, i decided to try to cream puff.
The cream puff here is fluffy light, but i would like to have a thicker cream and sweeter option. The options are limited with no flavors to choose from for the cream puff, and that is something to look into.
