Mango pomelo sago  Smile Jul 05, 2011
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Chinese | Desserts and Cakes

I love this dessert! It is a must try for those mango lovers, and its a dessert that will hardly go wrong. Sweet mango juice thicken with condensed milk, and with chunks of mango and pomelo. Though next time round i will be having the mango sago instead. The pomelo is bitter, and spoils the sweetness of the mango. The sago is chewy and smooth. Great dessert for any time.

Spending per head: Approximately $5.50

MOF dessert Smile Jun 22, 2011

I had the Macha Zen with almond flakes, which is my usual. The almond flakes were not as crispy nor as fragrant as the ones i had before, got the feeling it might have been kept for a long time. The red bean paste was great as always though, soft and sweet, and so was the green tea ice cream. The dumplings were pretty tasteless, but is really chewy and goes well with the sweet red bean paste.

Service was prompt, the waitress came immediately whenever we need to order or to ask for the bill. Serve with a smile too, which i think should how all F&B service should be like.

Cakes and baked wings.  Smile Jun 21, 2011

Categories : Bakery

I went bakerzin after lunch one day with my friends to chill out. There was this promotion going on, having a one for one cheesecake with the discount vouchers downloaded at its website.

I had the new york cheese cakes and a plate of baked wings. The wings were sweet, seemed like it was coated with honey. It is best when eaten hot and with the sauce provided. Their new york cheese cake comes with a pretty strawberry glaze, and berries instead of a normal plain slice that i was expecting. Taste of cream cheese was strong but not overwhelming.

There are not a lot of people at the shop, making it a great place for hanging out with friends.

Cinnamon Bun Smile Jun 20, 2011

Categories : Japanese | Bakery | Café

Despite visiting provence on many different occasion, this is the first time i had tried their Cinnamon Bun, just because my favorite milk pan had sold out for the day. The price is reasonable, going at $2 for one.

Cinnamon Bun might be slightly sweet with all the icing sugar at the top. Nonetheless, it still taste great with the cinnamon. It taste best when hot, so if having there, you could always ask the staff at the cashier to warm it up.

A must have chocolate cake Smile Jun 20, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Bakery

Not that i have tried all the different types of chocolate cakes out there, but for the price, the coco exotic is simply the best out there in my opinion. It is super rich in chocolate taste. Chocolate mousse filled the space between each layer of chocolate chiffon cake. There are at least two different type of mousse inside, with the milk and dark chocolate together. It is a must try for chocolate lovers out there who are on tight budget.

The hazelnut flake is the crunchy layer after the mousse, and even though i love this layer, it more often than not, makes the cutting of cake difficult to do and a mess will be apt in describing how the cake will eventually turned out to be.

They will customize the message on a piece of biscuit if order was placed sufficiently in advance.
