Best popcorn in Town Smile Jul 12, 2013
Categories : American

Garrett Popcorn had been around for years, and till date, their standard still remains. Popcorn are made fresh daily, and each is well coated with thick layer of caramel, yummy! There are savory favors like the cheese ones, but I would still think that the sweet one score much better in terms of taste. CaramelCrisp is $5 for a small bag of it, which is more than enough for 2 to share even though it is so addictive, because it is so sweet.

Fried Chicken  OK Jul 12, 2013
Categories : Filipino | Fast Food | Halal

There was no queue at all when I went on a Thursday afternoon, which is shocking in contrast to the long queue that I saw 3 months back! There was not much of a choice on the menu.

I had the 2 piece chicken joy set ($6.60), which comes with 2 pieces of chicken, rice and drink. Despite the craze over it, I find myself not liking the fried chicken. The skin is not crispy enough, and the chicken breast meat is so dry! sad

Cheap student deals! Smile Jul 12, 2013

Categories : Singaporean Western | Restaurant | Pasta | Steaks and Grills | Halal | Kids-Friendly

Only $6.90 for a student deal, it comes with a glass of homemade ice lemon tea, baked rice and a scoop of ice cream. $4 add-on and can get a waffle of your choice!

The lemon tea comes in these traditional looking drinking mug. The tea is sweet and refreshing smile Nice!

I topped up to double cheese baked rice, which has nacho cheese as the bottom layer and topped by mozzarella cheese. Ultimate cheesy! The cheese given was a lot, but i cant say so for the ingredients. I add on eggs and mushroom for $2.50, and i just find the portion to be nice. So imagine without topping up!

The student set is supposed to come with ice cream, but since i already ordered the waffle, I gave up the ice cream instead. The raspberry is very sour! But it is well compensated by the jam as well as the ice cream. I find the waffle too dense for my liking.

Nice Romantic Dinner place Smile Jul 12, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : European | Pasta | Steaks and Grills

The wine company is a good place to chill out with friends, and they have a wide selection of affordable wines to choose from! Not to mention that their ideal location at the sentosa boardwalk, making it a romantic place to go on a weekend evening too.

Chicken pesto cream penne ($13.80++) was my mains for the night. The pasta was cooked just right, a tad hard and chewy, suitable for penne. Pine nuts goes well with the taste of pesto, and the cream enhanced the flavor of the pasta even more! Love this dish.

Chocolate molten lava cake ($13.80++) cost the same as my mains, and i had a hard time debating if i should get it. Greed took over me, but i didnt regret. Look at how the chocolate flows! Indeed molten and its dark chocolate, making it even better tasting with the ice cream. Nice ending to a chill out night with some sweet satisfying dessert.

Jap food area!  Smile Jul 12, 2013
Categories : Japanese

There are so many restaurants and food stores condensed into this place known as shokutsu in Nex, and it must be a Japanese food lover heaven. There are so many stalls and so little stomach space to try it all.

Dorayaki ($1.20)! A snack made popular by doramon. I was there during the whole making process. They only started doing after the order is placed! A flame was used to cook the bottom part of the dorayaki, so that the inside will remain soft while the outside layer is cooked. They are generous with the red bean too. But where is my cute Fiesta cow logo?

Yakitori, another well known japanese food. The set C ($5.90) comes with 3 sticks, the fish fillet, sausage and chicken balls. The rice was soaked in sauce and its so nice! But the deep fried fillet is cold and yucky. Do come here only for the stick meat that are grilled.
