I was waiting for my facial appointment at centre point, so went downstairs to dine with my sisters. This place has fancy modern looking décor and the servers was friendly and fast in their service. I ordered Ribeye Steak ‘N’ Aglio Olio.

It comes with a generous portion of salad , and the portion of the meat was beautifully grilled as the juices drip when you sink your teeth on it, optionally you can coat or dip with the bbq sauce for enhanced flavour. The aglio olio was nicely cooked and overall well ratio portioned between meat / pasta / greens (Photo looks like there’s little aglio olio, but it’s hidden underneath the meat and veggies!)

Pleasant dining experience and I would definitely bring my husband here the next time!

Wanted to get a quick lunch but try something non local and less carbo as I was on a photography project with hubby and there’s lots of work to be done. I went to Brotzeit @ Raffles City Shopping Centre which seems spacious and clean. Ordered a Crispy Chicken Salad and my order was served shortly by the swift staff.
I liked the vibrant colours and the visual appeal of the dish and could not help whipping out my DSLR to take a good snap ; On the first bite, the chicken fillets were crispy with the fresh and crunchy vegetables tossed in their zesty house dressing makes a great hearty healthy meal!

Now back to work…

Da Paolo Group is a fast expanding restaurant chain, I don’t know about others but when being ask where can one find good food with good ambience , it mainly points to Da Paolo. Strolling along Rochester Park with hubby on a nice quiet night, we went to Da Paolo and was seated by friendly staff. We ordered Onion soup, Grilled Fresh Sea Bass, Slipper Lobster Pasta.

The onion soup was sweet and mellow tasting.
Grilled Fresh Sea Bass was beautifully cooked to a nice silver to charring gradient colour. Moist tender flesh and crispy skin accompanied with cucumber relish & saffron hollandaise was simply lovely
So far I liked the Slipper Lobster Pasta the most, cute looking slipper lobsters in generous portions was tender and moist.Blended well with the bouncy al dente pasta and cherry tomatoes.

I would definitely be back to try out the other dishes!

O'Coffee Club Smile Jul 31, 2013

I hate lonely afternoon eating lunch alone (boo hoo) cos my hubby busy with work. Went to Coffee club at Wheelock Place. I ordered Garlic Prawn Pasta.
The waiter who served me was very friendly, he noticed that I was alone and a little moody so chitchatted with me for a bit. Al dente pasta was cooked with fragrant garlic, chili flake, onion and tomatoes. The prawn is fresh and crunchy. Somehow food don’t taste as good as all if you’re on your own, so I’m pretty confident this tasted great!

I definitely would come back again to try more of their dishes and this time with great company.

I’m impressed (wow!) upon stepping into the nicely decorated restaurant.

First we had the Escargot: baked snail with heavenly scent and taste of garlic butter, the flavorful meat was chewy and delicate. Camembert Cheese Fritters, crispy beer battered and deep fried till golden brown cheese slices were cheesy and gooey. Their homemade honey vinaigrette was amazingly good. Simple and delectable appetizer choice.

Beef Stroganoff Omurice: mouthwatering strips of beef swimming in brown creamy mushroom sauce with light tempted sour cream added to enhance the flavor of this dish. Served with fluffy scramble eggs and rice.
Scotch eggs, well-cooked bouncy hard boiled eggs wrapped with tender and QQ minced meat layer then hand breaded and fried till golden brown. Laid nicely in a pool of flavorsome brown sauce.

The rest of the dishes was average tasting.
