Aston's Smile Jul 25, 2013   (Related Review)

This Astons outlet is nice and cosy, but usually crowded because the food this place sells is affordable and tastes great! The staff are generally very friendly and helpful despite the crowd.

We ordered the Double Chicken and Fish and chips and IBC Root Beer. The Fish was very crispy and the portion was generous! I really wished there were more fries because it was so addictive and crispy too! Coleslaw was refreshing to eat after all the savoury dishes.
The Double Chicken was a little too burnt for my liking but the meat within is tender, and the black pepper and teriyaki sauce just made it taste more satisfying. Onion rings were crispy and fragrant.

Vivo City is a shopping haven out of the main city area, but yet it is very accessible as MRT and bus interchange is only a stone's throw away.

The King Louis Bar & Grill is generally quite spacious and cooling with medieval decor with soft lighting. There is also a lovely outdoor scenery. You might even get to see fireworks from Sentosa's RWS if you go at the right timing. The service staff were friendly and service was good.

It's my second time here. We ordered the Grilled chicken and Fish And Chips! The Grilled chicken was perfectly charred and succulent for that rustic look that makes you feel the meal is fit for kings! Crispy battered for the fish and the chips! The portion was too generous too, had to takeaway the left overs.

Seafood Platter @ Manhattan Smile Jul 25, 2013

Bugis+ is a nice place to window shop and easy walking distance to neighboring Bugis Junction or Bugis Village etc. Manhattan has a decent crowd that day, pleasant place to dine and chit chat. We ordered the Seafood Platter. It's a celebration on a plate, with additional "pyrotechniques" to char the prawn nicely. Everything tasted great, crispy and flavourful. the prawns were tender and tasty. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

Korean BBQ Smile Jul 24, 2013

There are many Korean BBQ restaurants lined along the entire Tanjong Pagar Road. Besides Korean BBQ Restaurants, there are also many bridal shops and nightlife pubs. I decided to try His.tori for my Korean BBQ meal one day. Upon entering, I realized they have TVs playing K-Pop MVs and K-Pop music.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. They will constantly changing the foil once it's burnt/dirty.

There's a decent variety of meat from beef/pork and prawns that taste fresh. In my opinion, it's not perfectly marinated, but the rest of how well it's cooked depends on your BBQ-ing skills!

Tips:
(1) Try to pair it off with a few pieces of onions to taste.
(2) There's ice-cream in limited flavours as well, but it's better than nothing! smile

I enjoyed my dining experience here and will return!

Vivo City is a shopping haven out of the main city area, but yet it is very accessible as MRT and bus interchange is only a stone's throw away.

We ordered the pumpkin soup, mushroom soup, lots of chicken, potatoes and beef! The pumpkin soup was very sweet and creamy tasting, and the mushroom was very thick and it tasted great. Both the grilled chicken and beef was perfectly charred and the taste is fulfilling and texture is just right.

The King Louis Bar & Grill is generally quite spacious and cooling with medieval decor with soft lighting. There is also a lovely outdoor scenery. You might even get to see fireworks from Sentosa's RWS if you go at the right timing. The service staff were friendly and service was good.
