Revisited this Ice-cream hut, I finally tried their Waffle.
Pleasant place

Pleasant place

It was a quiet night, there was plenty seats available. We sat down at a corner upon taking our order. Still remain charm and modern during night, I the cozy environment here.
Ice-cream Waffle

Ice-cream Waffle

Baked waffle was smelt heavenly, of course the taste too. One scoop of ice-cream sat proudly on top of 2 small pieces of fluffy waffles. Simply choose Tahtitian Vanilla Ice-cream, we shared it. Classic creamy taste with premium ingredient, it was freshly made. Silky smooth Ice-cream, we regret to have only one scoop. Surrounded by Maple syrup and Choco sauce, I had them each bite. It priced at $7.50 for single scoop.

Another luxury beverage, Coffee Bean café became more and more popular. They are now having promotion for Hari Raya, Festive Lapis Mania with original price $42.00 but sold at only $37.00.
Iced Caramel Latte

Iced Caramel Latte

I like coffee, but like caramel even more. Tossing in my straw, I stirred until the caramel balanced up the taste of whole drink. What satisfying cold refreshment. The one I took away was the smallest size, $6.60 each cup.

Meeting my ex-classmate of University at Vivocity, we choosed Sushi Tei as our dinner. The restaurant appeared elegant with different themes of each outlet. Their operating hours is from 11.30am to 10.00pm daily while please place your last order before 9.30pm. Reservation is advisable if you are going in gangs to avoid any disappointment (Tel: 6376 9591).

Salmon Lover

We shared our orders to maximize the variety. This is the first sushi I tried, the salmon was raw and fresh. The size was proper and it was mild flavoured with a semi-soft texture. Best eaten when it comes with wasabi and teriyaki sauce. Decent and natural taste makes me feeling blissful whenever I am eating Salmon Sushi.
Tempura

Tempura

Japanese dish of seafood that have been battered and deep fried. It cannot be too oily, a great tempura should has always been terrific which is crispy, light, and not greasy at all. Sushi Tei served tempura as an ideal appetizer, eat while it hot if you can, of course, you could add a few drops of lemon juice too.
Sushi Combination

Sushi Combination

Salad sushi with combination of various vegetables. I like the crunchy lettuce, sweet carrot, soft scrambled egg and also the fresh cucumber.

Overall, we enjoyed the relaxing environment here. Price wise, it might be slightly expensive but it indeed makes me feeling good to have my meal in Sushi Tei.

Forest Dew Restaurant located near Boon Keng MRT was famous for vegetarian food. Maybe you cannot imagine how capable they performing their dishes without any meat, fish or chicken.
Forest Dew Vegetarian Restaurant

Forest Dew Vegetarian Restaurant

The huge variety of vegetarian food I didn't seen before, a wide range of choices until we don't know what supposed to order. The waiter then recommended us some signature dishes which their chef proud of. The restaurant was not too big, but looked clean with tables and chairs neatly arranged.
Vegetarian Satay

Vegetarian Satay

($6.00 per plate)
My first try, Vegetarian Satay. It really tasted like normal chicken satay, it was tender and the sauce was made with coconut milk and peanut butter which was savory , spicy and slightly sweet.
Fish Curry without Fish

Fish Curry without Fish

($18.00 per big bowl)
It sounds a bit funny, indeed, its name was Fish Curry but without putting any fish inside the curry. We found Beans, Potatoes, Tomatoes 'Tou Pok' and 'vegetarian fish'.
Vegetables Soup

Vegetables Soup

($12.00 per pot)
Suprisingly, the soup full of freshness of vegetable and 'Tofu'. Although it was plain, yet, because it was served in small pot, the soup appeared delicious as it combined all tastes of vegetables. The soup is always hot for you.
Fried Long Beans

Fried Long Beans

($10.00 per plate)
I hate those dry-fried long beans which were served uncut. That's why I quite happy with the size of beans here. For the taste, it was simple, just like what my mum cooking.
Vegetarian Sweet and Sour Pork

Vegetarian Sweet and Sour Pork

($9.00 per plate)
The waiter told us the secret recepi from chef, the 'pork' was deep-fried twice for extra crispiness. It was pretty good! No matter for its looking or the taste.
Seaweed Fried Rice

Seaweed Fried Rice

($8.00 per big plate)
It tasted like Cantonese Fried Rice, with seaweed, carrot, corn and egg which looked colourful and tasted flavourful too.
Dessert

Dessert

(2.50 per any 3 flavours)
Jello, maybe some of peoples called it Agar-agar, was a simple dessert which suitable for eating after meal. It was not too sweet for both flavours. We ordered Lemon, Strawberry and Sour Plum.

Too bad, I only can upload maximum eight pictures here. The food really surprised me, never thought that vegetarian food also can be so delicious. Overall, the portion is okay for us, so as to the price. It was reasonable and we enjoyed to eat vegetarian here. For you information, all of us are meat-hunter.

The HandBurger

The HandBurger

12/12/12 is a memorable date. I and my colleagues decided to have our advanced Christmas Party on this day. Upon reaching ‘The HandBurger’ at Raffles City, we were greeted by a polite waiter who guided us to a table seat. We sat at the central of the shop. Actually I prefer the corner’s seats; I don’t like the feeling that peoples watching at us in the open area. Yet, we still enjoyed the laughter ourselves without thinking about others around us.
Main Menu

Main Menu

Well, let’s start with the Menu. The HandBurger provides a huge range of choices, both fried and grilled one for you to choose. There are eight main categories, including Poultry Burgers, Beef Burgers, Lamb/Pork Burgers, Seafood/Vegetarian Burgers, Sides & Buns, Soups & Salads, Everything else (Kid’s meal), and Drinks.
Fries and Rings

Fries and Rings

Then we picked Chunky Fries ($6.80) and Onion rings ($6.80) as our side dishes. I wouldn’t say it was fantastic, but indeed it was crunchy and enough to satisfy us.
Dory Burger

Dory Burger

Of course I ordered burger; Battered Dory ($15.80) which has crispy fried dory fish inside a toasted honey wholewheat multigrain bun crispy fried dory fish with the Spicy Tartar Sauce on the top and lettuce, tomato at the bottom. I used my hand to eat, since it called Handburger. The dory fish was not too salty and the flesh was soft. It was best eaten if you mix up with spicy tartar sauce.
LambBurger

LambBurger

While the guy sat beside me, Paul ordered Happy Lamburger ($17.80) which is a toasted rustic bun with grilled lamb and sunny side-up egg. I bitted once, it was firm but tender and full of lamb aroma. For lamb lovers, I am sure you will like it very much.
Beef Burger

Beef Burger

I have no chance to try out this! The HandBurger Original ($13.80) was ordered by Carren, but she sat too far from me. It is the signature main course which is toasted caramelized onion bun with grilled beef mixed up with sweet onion jam and handmade BBQ sauce. Too bad, I will come again for this beef burger and also other signature burgers.
Milk Shake

Milk Shake

For drink, I ordered Strawberry MilkShake ($4.50). Look at the pinky juice with the strawberry on top, it was so attractive. A bit sour and sweet afterwards filled up my mouth when I was drinking it. Great dessert as it was flavourful surprisingly.
Merry X'mas in Advance to all

Merry X'mas in Advance to all

Overall, we are satisfied with our foods and enjoy dining here although it was quite crowded as 7.00pm was a peak dinner hour. Besides, we enjoyed the CitiBank Credit Card promotion, 1-for-1 drinks. We spent almost $250.00 for 10 persons. Portion wise, don’t worry, it will be enough for a normal meal.
