My colleague, Paul, bought nine cupcakes from Marina Bay Sands for us. It was the most luxurious cupcake in the town I guessed. Cupcake plays important role for special occasions.

Colourful Cupcakes

The cupcakes were not too sweet, but full of flavours. Every cupcake tasted wonderful, although it was simple and straightforward. I picked the most central one, Caramel Cream Cupcake with Hazelnut. It was soft, smooth, creamy and heart-warming. It costed $6.00 per piece, slightly expensive but it was awesome.

Egg tart is a classic pastry commonly found in Hong Kong. Perhaps Polar is not really known for their egg tarts, but I just cannot resist the egg tarts with yummy-looking.
Polar Eggs Tarts

Polar Eggs Tarts

It was so fanstatic with buttery and crispy tart shell while silky smooth custard inside. An excellent and successful egg tart for me where the moist custard was so mouth-watering.

I like a perfect balance of crisp pastry and pillow-soft centre. In short, it was simply addictive.

I was having my dinner with my family at Swatow Seafood Restaurant (汕头海鲜) near Toa Payoh Central. Actually its chinese name is 'ShanTou', which is a city of China. Swatow Restaurant offers a wide range of Teochew cuisine, using the fresh ingredients and emphasizing natural taste of food. It is located at second floor of Block 181, beside 'Shop and Save'. We made our reservation before we going there because this restaurant is always full especially on weekends. (Tel: 6363 1717)
Claypot Tofu

Claypot Tofu

This is my mummy's favourite dish. The tofu was smooth and firm while the taste was just simple as the restaurant choose to add less luxurious ingredients.
Salty Prawn

Salty Prawn

Steamed Prawn is a very light and healthy tasting dish since not much oil is used in the preparation of this dish. The prawn was fresh and was not over-cooked. That's why the prawn was tender and solid.
Sweet and Sour Pork

Sweet and Sour Pork

One of the chef recommended dish which their pork was deep-fried and then mixed up with the sweet and sour sauce. Perfumed by the aroma of tomatoes, the pork was delicious.
Hong Kong Style Steamed Fish

Hong Kong Style Steamed Fish

Nothing much special, the fish was steamed, I was able to taste the freshness of the fish. Unfortunately, the fish was steamed a bit too long thus the meat was a bit tough for me.

Overall, my parent quite satisfied with the dishes ordered. However, we had no chance to try the popular Deep Fried Pig Trotter which was served with a sweet plum sauce on the side. Maybe save it for next time.

Most of the peoples are not very adventurous when related to food. I prefer to go somewhere reliable, and this Thai Food stall is obviously one of them which located at Tekka Market.
Imaroy Thai Food

Imaroy Thai Food

It has been here for more than two years. Their business is always good.

You may order side dishes besides the main courses. There are many choices for customers to choose, no matter spicy, sour or even pure taste.
Pad Thai

Pad Thai

Of course, I ordered their signature ‘Pad Thai’, which is a Thai fried noodle with seafood. What makes it special is there were chili flakes and peanut chips on the plate. When you mixing it with the noodles, the taste become super complicated. I tasted the sour of lemon, spicy of chili, crunchy of peanut, freshness of the prawn and sweetness of the sauce the chef added inside. In summary, it was delicious.
Tom Yam

Tom Yam

While, my colleague ordered another signature ‘Tom Yam Soup’. She is the one introduced me this stall actually. Imaroy has its own Tom Yam recipe. The soup was so savory and not too spicy for me.

Among the places that I tried before, Imaroy Thai Food definitely serves one of the best Thai dishes in Singapore. I will be back again to try out the Pineapple Fried Rice.

Sight from my seat

I was eating at Toast Box last night. It should be breakfast instead of night snack by right. I don't care so much. To me, there's no such rule which states what supper should or shouldn't eat.

Here is what I ordered. A hot coffee with tea-spoon which tea-spoon was requested by me. The staff didn't provide me the tea-spoon initially.

I like the tradisional toast with kaya and butter. It is enough for me to describe it as a best toast. In fact, Kaya Butter Toast from Toast Box is nice to eat.
