Headed to have my lunch, I went to a nearby coffee shop with my colleagues. Neighbourhood area scene, environment was warm and stuffy as usual. The key selling point was the Fishball Noodles at Tian Le stall, quite well-known and catered to local appetite.

There was no queue when I reached, I was told to be waiting at my seat. Ladyboss will deliver the order when it was ready, precise service. Limited choices available, but varieties were good enough for selection.

A bowl of thickly flat noodles in starchy gravy topped with generous portion of fried anchovies, fish cake slices, braised pork and egg, it was dunking hot. I was convinced by the springy noodles, not overcooked and solid filling. Gravy was heavy seasoned and pretty generic, mushy mess but not sickening. Ingredients were fresh, coating was done in perfect manner. Only $2.80 for the price, combination was a generous portion.

On the way going back to office after lunch, I spotted a newly interesting dessert café. Just came to know Shrove Tuesday had another meaning as Pancake Tuesday, a day for feasting and having good time which the name might be observed by many Christians. Don’t be mistaken, there was no religious here. From deep heart of the boss, everyday is a wonderful Shrove Tuesday.

Transparent glass door and bright lightning were attractive, beautiful stylish in general. Décor was straightforward and simple, but no much seats available due to limited space. Atmosphere was hassle-free and relaxed, food Menu was sweetness-related.

Exciting assorted flavours, appearance was tempting. Soft silky cream was sandwiched between the airy light meringues, shell was fluffy crisp. Nicely-shaped with lovely dedicated sugariness, taste was just nice without overly sickening. Freshly baked, chubby layer was enough to satisfy my craving. This is the way I pampered myself always, I found the nice place at Shrove Tuesday. I would not say the price was cheap, yet it was rather comparable.

Modern classic Thai décor in general, the restaurant was brightly appetizing. My first time to Tom Yum Kungfu, impression was greatly pleasant. Extensive choices from Menu, orders were flexible. Service was attentive friendly, staff was polite and helpful.

Excited platter with succulent meat and seafood, serving was pretty huge. Charcoal-grilled instead of gas power, it made the process more interesting. Used lard as natural oil, food was prepared neatly and hygienic. Cannot wait to start!

Enjoy BBQ moment at the same time slurping up the soup at bottom, the concept was thoughtful creative. Original soup-based was similar with normal steamboat soup, decent but little oily. Meat was well-marinated while Seafood was fresh, nothing beats. Savoury tangy absolutely, it did satisfy my taste buds. Using my cooking talent, we ended up a burnt surface of pot. Trust me, the taste was definitely delicious. Price at $38.00 per set was rather reasonable, it can served up to 3 persons.

Patronize this vegan restaurant numerous time, I am a regular customer. Perhaps, I should get loyal discount or become VIP member. There was actually an Indian stall occupied beside, unknown till today and I was surprised when my first notice. As times passed, more people went for Quantity instead of Quality. Therefore good Prata was rarer and rarer, based on economy of scale they put. Well, vegetarian version of delicious Prata was sold here. Be caution when ordering, some of their Prata in Menu was consisted egg if you are the pure Vegan. Service rather prompt, my Prata arrived within 10 minutes.

This was the dish I had been eating since young, fell in love with irresistible crisp which dipping in savoury bowl of curry. Paper thin layer with fluffy dough after pan-fried, it was yummy yet non-oily, at least less guilty when eating. Egg version was much more aromatic, luscious generous piece given. Fully appreciated the quality of Prata, it was freshly made at open-concept kitchen. Superlicious while pouring thickly flavoursome curry, mixture was a perfect match. Portion was rather sufficient, unstoppable munch towars the end. Price of Prata was justifiable, it was not cheap as any hawker.

Recommended Dish(es):  Plain Prata and Egg Prata

Drawn to the queue at this stall during peak lunch hour, it was a famous eatery place. I admit I am the seafood lover, so as to for fish-related item. Decided to order Fishball noodle, it was the most attractive stall visible. Menu was straightforward and fuss-free, waiting time was not lengthy actually.

Freshness were promising, absolutely consistent soft and bouncy. Handmade without artificial tasting ingredients, light sweetness was alluring along intense nice flavour. Noodle was in dried version, springy without overcooked. Slurping up the first mouth, it was irresistible. The secret of a good plate of noodle was laid on the unique sauce, vinegar-sourness perfectly went with spicy soy sauce. I must say seasoning was extremely great especially minced pork and fried onion, savoury yet not sickening oily. Complimentary soup was served along, wonderful decent-tasted. Price at only $3.00, portion was satisfying.
