The restaurant is dimly-lit and it was a restaurant good for meeting up and chatting with friends and family. People travel far to savour the steak and borsch at Shashlik. All the waiters and waitresses are matured staff who must have worked at the restaurants for years. This was my first time to taste borsch soup and it was a very memorable one. This was my first time to taste borsch soup and it was a very memorable one. The borsch was great, with the beef pieces inside which melt in your mouth. The warm bun with the butter was real good!
The escargots were great as well, they were soft and the garlic sauce complemented the escargots very well. The medium steak I ordered was done right and it tasted good. I find that the price of the steak might be cheaper than Jack's Place's dinner, and with the great borsch and escargots, Shashlik definitely win over Jack's Place (comparison based on dinner).
