I am a great fan of tofu and I actually had quite high expectation for this dish. It seems like an innovative dish that we had not tried before. However, to my disappointment, I couldn't really taste the tofu as the fries were overwhelmed with the very salty salted egg sauce and the skin was rather dry and tough. Another option is that you can request for wasabi mayo sauce to go with the fries instead. However, I do wonder whether tofu nuggets will make a better dish?

Next we were served "Duo of Wings" (Burp Kitchen Wings - $10 and Salted Egg Wings - $14)

Burp Kitchen Wings, their house wings, were marinated with special adobo sauce, probably inspired by the Philippines cooking style and air-fry. The sauce was flavoursome and I kind of like it. It was tangy and sweet, a bit salty and also tasted a bit garlicky. According to the female boss, Sarah, the sauce was made of apple cider, vinegar, soya sauce and garlic. The chicken wings were tender. However, the marinade did not go beyond the skin and the meat was bland. If not, the wings would taste even better! I overheard the gentleman sitting next to me, advising Sarah to try poking the wings with fork so that the meat can absorb the marinade.

The sauce was the same salted egg sauce used in the tofu fries. Same issue as the above, the meat was bland. In fact, I would much prefer the burp kitchen wings marinated with adobo sauce than salted egg sauce. If I am not wrong, the salted egg wings cost $4 more.

"Duo of Burgers" (Crabby Patty - $18 & Burp's Beef - $16)

Crabby Patty - Battered softshell crab, lettuce, salted egg sauce (again!), curry leaves and chilli padi sandwiched between the squid ink buns. Indeed, it is a very instagramable dish. Probably we had too much of salted egg sauce that night. As such, I still prefer having the crispy battered softshell crab on its own without the sauce. It was also served with potato salad.

Burp's Beef - At one glance, it looks like an ordinary burger but it tasted good. This was one of my favourite dishes for the night. The burger was made of brioche buns with beef patty, american cheese, caramelized onions, pea sprouts (aka "dou miao") and spicy mayo sauce. The idea of using pea sprouts in burgers is uncommon but it definitely gave you the impression that you are having a healthier burger.

I guess for every good dish, there is always room for improvements. I found that the minced beef patty didn't really hold well. As I cut through the burger, the patty sort of fell apart.

Being a cheese lover, this tortilla wrap with slow-cooked shredded chicken and cheddar/ mozzarella cheese worked well for me. Dip it with the homemade salsa sauce for a more refreshing taste.

Duo of Tacos (Pork Carnitas - S12 & Baja Fish - $12)

Pork Carnitas - Slow-cooked BBQ pulled pork, coleslaw and salsa fresco. According to Sarah, the pork was slow-cooked for 8 hours! Overall, the taste was sweet.

Baja Fish - Battered Fish, Coleslaw, Salsa Fresco and Spicy Mayo. This is probably the most value-for-money dish. Big chunk of battered fish meat wrapped in soft taco skin. I like this dish as well but was too full to savour it all. =)

One of my favourite dish would be the Baja Fish Tacos, fish was fresh and it was like Fish and chips (chips being the crispy chips) - $12

Another great dish would be the Crabby Patty - $18, I love soft shell crab and salted egg so this was like the best of both worlds, all in a charcoal brioche bun! I felt a tad too much salt went into batter of the soft shell crab but this can be tweaked and I hope to taste a better burger because this burger has so much potential!
Cheese lovers you must try the Chicken Quesadilla, it's so cheesy you will be so excited when you see the cheese stretch! It was kinda salty though.
For more salted egg items, check out their Salted Egg Tofu Fries, thickly fried tofu sticks and drizzled on with generous salted egg sauce.

Salted Egg wings, a lil overwhelming I'd prefer their Burp Kitchen Wings, sweet and tangy Adobo sauce, Filipino recipe and it's refreshing!

Following the recent salted egg craze in Singapore F&B scene, Burp offer 3 version of its own salted egg dishes. Salted Egg Tofu Fries ($8); Salted Egg Wings ($14) and Crabby Patty Burger ($18).

Rather than using the commonly available French Fries, Burp created their healthy version of fries using tofu. A quick glance it can be mistaken for luncheon meat. After a quick bite tasted like the pipa tofu served in Chinese restaurants. For the chicken wings, it was well fried with crispy skin and succulent meat.

The two bases that I mention above is actually pretty good and can be eaten without the salted egg sauce. However as soon as thick salted egg sauce (loaded with chopped curry leaves and chilli padi) are added on top of the tofu fries / wings, it just go haywire. They just do not mixed, like oil and water. The salted egg did not absorb into the wings / tofu, feels like you are eating two different dishes. I feel it will be better, if Burp made the sauce thinner, tossed the salted egg sauce together with wings / tofu when they just come out from the deep fryer. Just like how the Korean do their KFC. It might not look pretty, but it gives consistency to the dishes.

Crabby Patty Burger, an unique creation by Burp. Squid ink bun, lettuce, battered soft shell crab, salted egg sauce, curry leaves, chilli padi. Unlike the two dishes above, this crab burger is actually pretty decent. Soft and crisp bun, juicy soft shell crab patties with salted egg sauce. The pores in the batter and crab, allow the sauce to sip into the patties and you get all the ingredients in each bite. Instead of fries, you actually get their homemade potato salad, which was very comforting.

Cheese lovers will like the Chicken Quesadilla ($9). The chicken and duo cheese fillings (cheddar and mozzarella) in the tortilla. Tasted like crispy pocket pizza. The tanginess from the tomato salsa verde on the side helps to balance the richness from the combo of duo cheese here.

Burp's Beef Burger ($16). A solid beef burger with thick, juicy and meaty beef patties. The crisp brioche bun and spicy mayo really holds the ingredients well together. I personally like their touch of using pea sprouts (aka Dou Miao). A burp signature unique twist that provide the crunchy and healthy taste to the burger. It can do with more caramelized onions and fries (not the potato salad) but overall it was a darn good burger for me.

Burp Kitchen Wings ($10), fried wings with special Adobo sauce. Specially created by Sarah, who has Philippines and Chinese blood as a taste that really resonate with her. The sweet and garlic combo in the sauce reminds me of garlic and soy sauce version in Korean FC. I will pick this anytime over the salted egg version.

For a truly taste of Taco Tex-Mex, we sampled their Pork Carnitas Taco ($12) and Baja Fish Taco ($12). Two servings of 6” tacos with corn chips in each. The Pork Carnitas uses slow cooked BBQ pulled pork, where you can see each strand of the meat well coated in the BBQ sauce. A squeeze of lime add freshness and tanginess to the delicious dish.

Baja Fish Taco is my favourite. I actually went back to try this dish for the second time after the tasting session. Nicely fried crunchy battered fish fillet, wrapped with spicy mayo and salsa fresca. When you bite into it, you will experience multiple texture (crispy, moist, juicy) and flavour (spicy, creamy, fresh, tangy) dancing in your mouth. Definitely a dish that worth to get your finger dirty.

On the second visit, I also tried their Blueberry Pancakes ($8). A medium size pancakes, served with blueberry compote and maple syrup. Pancakes was fluffy, airy however there is a bit of stickiness to it making it hard to swallow after the second piece. The serving of blueberry compote is generous. A touch whipped cream or a mini cubes of butter will make the pancake so much better.

I have to admit, when I saw Lemon Lime Bitters ($4) on the menu, Burp directly got extra marks from me. My favourite drink from my Uni days down under but not so common in Singapore. The other mocktail, Frozen Willy ($5.50) which has blended mango juice, orange juice and Grenadine is pretty awesome as well.

Overall, I find Burp is a terrific cosy Gastropub located in the heartland and best it's open till midnight. There are little fine tunings that can be made on the food item, but you can see the potential of this place. Good Food, Good Drinks, Reasonable Price, and friendly atmosphere are the ingredients of a successful place. So if you are around Bedok or east of Singapore, give Burp a try. Cheers!!

Thank you very much for to OpenRice Singapore and Burp Kitchen & Bar team for the tasting invitation. Chubby Botak Koala paid for the food and drink consumed during the second visit.

Burp Kitchen and Bar, located next to Bedok Reservoir with seating for 30, serves up a wide variety of American grub. You would be happy to know that there is no GST and service charge at Burp! Serving not just the typical burgers and fries, Burp seeks to introduce a local twist to their food. Riding along the recent food trend, Burp has been experimenting in the salted egg space! During the tasting, we managed to try a few of them such as salted egg fries, salted egg wings and salted egg burger (WHAT?), along with various other dishes.
Out of the many dishes that we tried, my favorite would be the Baja Fish Tacos and Crabby Patty Burger.
Baja Fish Tacos (SGD12)
The Baja Fish Tacos have a generous amount of fried fish, coleslaw, salsa fresca and spicy mayo served with corn chips at the side. That fried fish was the star of the dish — fried to a golden brown yet so juicy and tender on the inside. The thickness of the fish makes this even more enjoyable as you can definitely have plenty of fish in every bite. Even though this was the last dish of the night and I was somewhat full by then, I couldn’t resist more helpings of it! The zesty apple slaw and salsa was tangy and made great pairings with the fish tacos.
Crabby Patty Burger (SGD18)
This is no ordinary soft shell crab burger — it is a salted egg soft shell crab burger! The Crabby Patty Burger has a whole fried soft shell crab as the “patty” with salted egg sauce drizzled over it and sandwiched between two squid ink buns. How innovative! The buns had no distinct taste, but the combination was great for me. Fried food and salted egg sauce, what could go wrong? This would be the choice for you if you’re looking for an alternative to the usual beef patty burger. However, it comes at the price tag of $18 which I find to be on the expensive side.
Under the “Bar Grub” menu, we tried the Salted Egg Tofu Fries, Salted Egg Wings, Burp Kitchen Wings and Chicken Quesadilla.
Salted Egg Tofu Fries (SGD8)
Tofu fries? That’s a first for me! Tofu cubes are being cut into strips before being fried to a golden brown. Don’t they look like spam fries? Except that this is not processed meat but a much healthier choice! Salted egg sauce was then drizzled onto them. I found the skin to be a little tough and tasted more like tau kwa than tofu to me. Perhaps I was expecting a more silky inner layer when I think of tofu, but this was on the dry side. There was also insufficient salted egg sauce but thankfully the owners kindly offered more of their wasabi mayo which I really liked too. Their sauces are all home made, and I found the salted egg sauce just right with some bits in it. But personally, I thought there could be more chilli padi as I love it spicy!
Burp Kitchen Wings (SGD10)
Salted Egg Wings (SGD14)
The chicken wings here are air-fried, making it a healthier for the health conscious! The Burp Kitchen Wings are coated with the Adobo sauce — a savoury sauce with sour tones. As for the Salted Egg Wings, they are coated with the same sauce used on the tofu fries. These would definitely make a great bar bite with some beer. For draught beer lovers, Burp serves Asahi Super Dry and Kronenbourg Blanc on tap.
Chicken Quesadilla (SGD9)
The Chicken Quesadilla came with a tortilla wrapping the slow cooked pulled chicken and melted cheddar and mozzarella cheese. This was a little plain tasting as compared to the other dishes, though the melted cheese was really satisfying!
Other than the above, we also tried the Burp’s Beef under “Burgers” and Pork Carnitas under “Tacos”.
Burp’s Beef (SGD16)
The Burp’s Beef is made of two brioche bun sandwiching the beef patty, american cheese, caramelized onions, pea sprouts and spicy mayo. The folks of Burp have creatively replaced the usual lettuce with pea sprouts, or what we know as dou miao. The taste of the vegetables is definitely stronger here with a more chewy bite. However, I still prefer my crunchy lettuce! The buns were not as fluffy and the patty was not as juicy as I’d like them to be, resulting it to be rather dry overall.
Pork Carnitas (SGD12)
The Pork Carnitas is a dish of soft tacos wrapping slow cooked BBQ pulled pork, coleslaw and salsa fresca. The pulled pork is beautifully seasoned with sweet tasting notes as the juices flow with each bite. The strong flavors in this will definitely appeal to those who likes stronger tasting dishes.
It might not be as accessible for those who don’t drive as a short bus ride is needed from Bedok MRT station, but located right beside Bedok Reservoir Park means that you can take a slow walk and enjoy the surroundings after your meal! I would definitely recommend you this place for you to grab a drink and some (baja fish) tacos!

My first thought - this tastes healthy! I liked this, crispy, and goes well with the slow cooked pulled chicken that's sealed within the tortilla wrap with melted cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Goes well with the pairing sauce.

Yums. These wings were coated with their homemade special Adobo sauce (literally means sauce twice in Spanish/Tagalog). Well, they sure knew what to put on the table. Who doesn't like wings? If you don't, well actually there's also drumsticks in this dish. This was tasty - and airfried to make it healthier. Thumbs up.

With the salted egg yolk craze that is hitting the Singaporean food world, it is little wonder this eatery is doing the same. But at least they do it nicely. I liked their salted egg yolk sauce, which carries a hint of spiciness from the chilli padi. As mentioned, all wings here are airfried to make it more healthy for diners. So this is naturally another thumbs up for me.

Salted Egg Tofu Fries ($8)

This one also had the same salted egg yolk sauce, but I didn't like this texture of the tofu. It was really just fried tofu sticks, but a healthier twist to fries. I mean, I liked it, but I thought the texture of the tofu could be more chewy, instead of the full hard-on tofu type fries.

This was one of my favourite dishes of the night. I was expecting Spongebob to serve up this dish, but I was disappointed in that area. I would also like to remark that the chef looked nothing like spongebob at all. (Lighten up people, you understand jokes, right?) Anyway, the 'crabby patty' was battered soft shell crab, which retained its crispiness through our photo taking. I loved the total combination of the crisp and the juices (which merged nicely with the salted egg yolk sauce omgee!) and the sauce and the squid ink bun. I would order this again.

The beef patty was good. Marinated in-house as well. What's interesting about this was that instead of lettuce, they used dou miao, which had a stronger taste, thus giving their burger a unique edge.

They tried to balance out the taste with spicy mayo as well, perhaps to lessen the harshness of the strong dou miao and I thought it paired pretty well overall.

Pork Carnitas Tacos ($12)

Tacos, tacos, tacos. This tacos is made to be quite authentic because of their softer taco shell, instead of the hard, crispy ones which I'm used to. While I was thinking, "why go soft?" but my tastebuds convinced me otherwise.

The fillings do go better with the authentic styled soft 'shell'. Filled with pulled pork and topped with apple slaw & spicy maco, the combination was flavourful. Comes with a small potato dish, which my friend liked.

Baja Fish ($12)

Pronounced "Ba-ha", this dish has some Spanish roots. Like the Pork Canitas Tacos, they also have the apple slaw and spicy mayo as its topping.

We liked the fish as it was so tender while the outer layer was just nice. Most liked this dish, though my preference is still with the Pork Canitas.

Well, one of my favourite points about this place is that they are unpretentious and they try to make it a little more healthy and unique for their diners, which explains why most of their sauces or certain dishes are painstakingly homemade.

Burp also has brunch items from Tuesdays to Sundays, from opening till 4pm. Some of these include the usual egg brunch favourites from pancakes, waffles to burgers, bagels and even breakfast tacos!

Would I return? : Yes. I most probably would.

Ok, starting with the 1st dish is specially created Salted Egg Tofu Fries. The looks feel tempting and juicy but some dissapointment when I ate the fries without the sauce. Good try replacing normal fries with tofu but it was abit hard or overcooked and bland. Salted Egg everywhere nowadays and they don't wish to be left out too. Sauce was abit dry and thigh but I do appreciate the strong taste of the salted egg and can even feel some bits from it.

2nd home made Pino sauce Burp Kitchen Wings. Chicken had always been almost everyone favourite and is a dish that you could make different taste out of it. Good marination of the sauce with the wings but you can only taste the skin and nothing beside that. If the size of the wings is abit smaller, might taste better.

3rd dish Salted Egg Wings. Yes, salted egg again and they just add the sauce to the 2nd dish so if you had order above 2 dish, you can really skip this one unless you are a super wings lover.

Chicken Quesadilla with home made salsa. First bite without the sauce feels abit like those chicken pie. Added the salsa doesn't make any special difference to it, abit bland for my taste bud though they are trying hard to make it a punch.

Burp's Beef (Burp's signature dish). Serving was pretty huge for the price you pay but what I'm looking for is the beef patty. Tried the potato salad first which they had created on their own and taste quite appetizing. Moving on to their patty was abit dissapointed as it taste abit scattered meat and can't feel the beef enough. Because it was bland, cheese was added in the burger to make the overall taste even. I think if they had put the potato into the burger, it might taste better.

Crabby Patty with Squid Bun. The soft shell crab was abit salty, maybe too much salt but some may like it. Squid bun must taste like squid or at least abit but feels like normal bun, can't bring out any squid taste though not a squid lover. Combine with the cheese makes it even saltier though the vege should equalize the taste.

Pork Carnitas Tacos, could have wrap it to save the hassle of rolling up on your own. Sweet and sour taste was my first bud but the coleslaw was abit coarse to munch in.

Baja Fish Tacos, last dish of my food tasting. Everything the same as above and I like the crispy and softness of the fish but some may find it too hard to nibble.

Place - surrounded with nature, reservoir, people (HDB type) and shops . I like it.
Ambience - relax and family type, main is food not decor.
Food - I believe they have taken extra to create the best food for us and I think they still need alot of improvement. Keep it up.
Price - affordable and reasonable for neighbourhood people to enjoy.

I will visit again to try other food and see if they had taken my feedback and advice seriously.

Within a stone throw from the serene lushy Bedok Reservoir is home to a modest cafe, the Burp Kitchen And Bar. The cafe is basically dressed in brown shade and warm lighting with a L-shaped area housing the dining area and bar. Both bar tables and normal dinning tables are available for diners to choose from. Nothing fanciful in the cafe with minimalist.

At Burp Kitchen And Bar since alcohol is served, Bar Grub is certainly essential. To complement the Bar Grub selection, burgers and Tacos were added to the menu. As all cafe, Brunch selection is not be to missing from the menu too. As such, it is offered. The food served are mainly Mexican with some touch of American and Filipino.

Bar Grub
First, we started with 4 Bar Grubs. There are 6 other Bar Grub as selection. We kick-off the dinner with Salted Egg Tofu Fries ($8). Generous amount of salted egg sauce was layered over the made in-house Tofu Fries. Personally, I didn't enjoy the dish as I didn't find Tofu and salted egg complemented well. In addition, it is quite salty. And moreover, Tofu isn't quite my kind of food.

As an alternative, diner could opt for Wasabi sauce instead. This is one of the 3 vegetarian Bar Grub. The other 2 being Flavoured Popcorn ($6) and Tortilla Corn Chips ($7).

One of the common Bar Grub, is the chicken Wings. At Burp Kitchen And Bar, 3 options were provided; Burp Kitchen Wings ($10), Salted Egg Wings ($14) and Spicy Buffalo Wings ($14). We tried 2 out of the 3. Good good news to less once guilt while indulging; the Chicken Wings are Air Fry.

Burp Chicken Wings ($10) uses the special Philippines Adobo sauce giving it a tangy and sweet flavour. It is certainly great to wash it down with some beer. A pity the flavouring did not get beyond the skin, hence the chicken flesh was rather bland.

With the salted egg craze hitting our shore, salted egg sauce on wings are also available at Burp Kitchen And Bar. Using the same salted egg sauces that was used for the Tofu Fries, the Salted Egg Wings ($14) was born.

The last Bar Grub of the night was the Chicken Quesadilla ($9). A tortilla warp filled with Mozzarella and Cheddar cheese and slowed cooked shredded chicken making it a rich cheesy dish. It will be a hit among cheese lovers. Most of felt savoured mainly the cheese and didn't even realise the chicken was in it.
Other selections of Bar Grub include the Nachos ($11) in either BBQ Pulled Pork or Beef Chilli and Sasage Fest ($14).

Burgers
Burgers easily find favour with most. I am one who likes my burgers. 6 creations of burgers are offered at Burp Kitchen And Bar. We tried 2 out of 6.

First and foremost, the Burp's Beef Burger ($16). When the burger was served to the table, immediately, I could smell the dou miao (a vegetable that I like a lot). I thought this was a creative great idea. The beef patty was well marinated and fresh. Brioche bun was as fluffy as it should be. I enjoyed the totality of the taste profile. But I suspect some may not quite enjoy it with the pea sprout as it gives off a raw green taste, though, this is what I enjoy. Acquired taste, I suppose.

The Crabby Patty Burger ($18) was with an entire fried soft shell crab. You could figure it out from the obvious shape. It is sandwiched with again the salted egg, lettuce in between a squid ink bun which I mistaken it as a charcoal bun. I was glad the bun didn't result in any strong seafood flavour and it is fluffy.
Burp is also very considerate towards vegetarian, you will find The Vegetarian Burger ($10) on its menu too. The remaining 3 non-vegetarian options are Chicken Rendang Burger ($12), Curried Pork Burger ($14) and Ultimate Burp Burger ($20).

Tacos
Finally, the last (but not least) dish of the night, presenting the Tacos. 6 dishes to choose from, namely, Citrus & Miso Tofu ($10) a vegetarian dish, Baja Fish, All Taco dishes come in 2 servings of 6" tacos and corn chips.

Baja Fish Tacos ($12) has battered fish, coleslaw, salsa fresca with spicy mayo on the 6" wrap. Most of us like the fish as it was lightly battered and not overly flavoured.

Pork Carnitas Tacos ($12) is with the slow cooked BBQ pulled pork. The rest of the ingredients are the same as the Baja Fish Tacos. The distinct taste of this dish is sweet. The flavour reminded me of the narcissus brand canned food, Spiced Pork Cubes.
At this tasting, we tried none of the 11 dishes under the Brunch selection.
Generally, the food served at Burp Kitchen are all right but it is certainly too salty. What I truly appreciate about Burp Kitchen And Bar is the thoughtfulness by providing Vegetarian options at all categories of their menu.

Salted Egg Tofu Fries - 3.0/5.0 Stars. The idea of replacing normal shoestring or curly fries with tofu fries is kinda cool, especially when salted egg is being accompanied. According to the friendly boss, the tofu is made from scratch, where they get those tofu, and they cut them into slices. Then, it is being coated with batter and deep fried. Lastly, they drizzle the salted egg yolk sauce onto it. Would say that the tofu batter is very normal, and just like what my fellow food reviewer mentioned - it tasted more like tau kwa than tofu. But, the salted egg sauce salvaged the dish! The boss was kind enough to bring out the Wasabi Mayo sauce, which is another alternative to Salted Egg Sauce for us to try. Its Wasabi Mayo sauce tasted pretty good as well! *According to the boss, the restaurant provides additional sauces, or a mixture (you can get both sauce), at the usual price as long as you ASK for it! Good eh?*

Burp Kitchen Wings - 4.2/5.0 Stars. Wings are usually deep fried eh? But Burp chooses to air-fry their wings, which is definitely a plus point! Accompanied the wings is its special sauce - Adobo Sauce! Sweet yet tangy refreshing sauce, which is simply indescribable! You would have to try it yourself! (I don't give 4.2/5 Stars for no reason, trust me its good!)

Salted Egg Wings - 3.4/5.0 Stars. Just in case I did not mention it earlier - all the marination of the wings are being done by the chef, and all the kind of sauces - be it salted egg, adobo or any sauces that I mention within this post is being made from scratch by the chef. Burp believes in making their own sauces and marinations! Ok by now, you would be asking me if the Salted Egg that appeared in the wings is the same as the one that appeared in the tofu fries. And my answer is YES! Nothing much special about the sauce to mention - everything was mentioned above in the salted egg tofu fries. Wings as per usual, GOOD!

Chicken Quesadilla - 4.5/5.0 Stars. This is something to die for. Cheddar Cheese, Mozzarella cheese, slow cooked pull chicken accompanied by the totrilla wrap. Its just simply amazing and I would say that this is one of the best quesadilla I've ever tried on earth! For $9, its definitely worth the price. Oh yeah, and it comes with freshly made Salsa sauce, which is made from tomato puree and tomato sauce! Definitely gonna order this again on my next visit!

Burp's Beef - 4.3/5.0 Stars. Brioche Bun, beef patty, american cheese, caramellized onions, dou miao and spicy mayo. Great combination, and of course instead of using the 'boring' lettuce, cabbage etc, Burp decided to replace it with pea sprouts, or better known as dou miao. Surprisingly, the dou miao indeed brought the whole burger to the next level.. of tastiness! Beef patty was fresh and generous as well! Oh ya. every burger comes with a side of Potato Salad, which I personally find it kinda normal. *The boss says that you can switch your potato salad to either coleslaw or corn chips for free. You can even change it to salted egg tofu fries - at a minimal charge!*

Crabby Patty - 2.6/5.0 Stars. Squid Ink Bun, lettuce, battered soft shell crab, salted egg sauce, curry leaves and chilli padi. Squid Ink Bun has no squid ink taste or any distinctive taste of squid ink. Battered Soft Shell Crab is served luke warm (ok not even luke warm, more of cold), and it seems not to have been battered. Salted egg sauce and curry leaves - ok as per normal. Not much of chilli padi either. Would not recommend this burger, especially with the price, which is on the high side - $18.00. Burp's Beef, priced at $16.00 is definitely much more price and taste-worthy as compared to this.

Pork Carnitas Taco - 4.1/5.0 Stars. Slow cooked BBQ pulled pork, apple-slaw and salsa fresca, being wrapped by tortilla tacos and served with corn chips. BBQ pull pork was addictive, especially with the distinctive taste of the BBQ sauce, and the apple-slaw made the dish less oily and gives its customer an 'healthier' opinion of the dish.

Last but not least - Baja Fish Tacos

Baja Fish Tacos - 3.7/5.0 Stars. By now, everyone of us are kind of full, and if we were to say that this dish is good, it has to really be good. Everyone on the table thought that the fish was good. Thus, it is really GOOD. Everything else was the same - apple-slaw and salsa fresca, but it comes with spicy mayo and battered fish. The fish was well battered, and it stands out amongst the dishes that I've tried today.

The average score for the 8 dishes we tried at Burp Kitchen and Bar was 3.725 Stars/5.0 Stars, which is decent. For a cafe situated along a reservoir, I thought that the food served was really good, and it is really price-worthy. The staff and bosses were very friendly and they would try their best to accomdate to our requests - nothing is impossible! Just ASK!

Overall a good food tasting, and definitely will be back for more at Burp's Kitchen and Bar - hopefully to try out some of their mocktails and cocktails!
