Hearing how popular was Wingstop and its unique Fried Chicken, I went to Bedok to have a try. The Wingstop decor looked like a normal fastfood, the queue was short. I ordered the Teriyaki 6pc Classic Wings Set at $9.90, it came with a drink and 2 sides. The wait for the food to be ready was quite long, about 15 minutes. To my surprise, the 6 pieces Chicken Wings set was not 6 whole chicken wings but was break into 3 winglets and 3 drumlets. The size of winglets and drumlets was also quite small.

The chicken wings smelt very nice with rich teriyaki sauce. The chicken wings were hot and crispy on the outside, but there was little meat. The teriyaki sauce was sweet and salty with a bit of caramel. However, I found that the taste of the teriyaki sauce was too salty.

Overall, Wingstop Chicken Wings was not to my liking as the marinate sauce was too salty and the size of the wings were too small.

Wing Stop serves fresh, made to order (you guessed it) chicken wings that come in both boned and boneless variations. There is quite a wide variety of marinates to choose from and as far as I've experienced, most are quite good. The chicken served were extremely tender and chock full of natural juiciness. There isn't too much oil used which but rest assured, the wings are indeed properly fried for drool inducing purposes. For our full review with photos, please visit http://freshffm.blogspot.sg/20

Wingstop specialises in American buffalo style chicken wings, offering made to order, freshly sauced and tossed chicken wings, smothered in a choice of 11 different sauces.
Ambience at Wingstop is styled after 1930s American diners, small and cozy but with loud colours of red, white and green. Decor is aviation themed, with the Wingstop logo featuring a pair of wings. The choice / variety of sauces are also designed as logos, and used for decor. Furniture is functional but not too comfortable, similiar to other fast food franchises, and lighting is sufficient, though some areas fall in shadow.
Wingstop is largely self-service. Order and make payment at the counter, then collect your own food. I do find staff to be quite knowlegable on the menu (it's a small menu), but what I really like about service at Wingstop is that they make each batch of chicken wings only upon order. Then they sauce and toss the piping hot chicken wings in your choice of sauce (choose from 1 of the 11 sauces), before buzzing you for collection. No heat lamps, no reheating, no microwaving!
The star food item at Wingstop is their chicken wings and boneless chicken strips, covered in 1 of the 11 sauces. Each combo meal costs about SGD $12, and you can choose 2 different sauces for your wings / strips. Portion is sufficient for 1 person, and I love the crispness of the exterior skin, while the chicken meat within is still tender and juicy.

A choice of 1 of 3 different sides to accompany each combo meal, either Potato Salad, Coleslaw or Fries. Of the 3 sides, I like the Potato Salad for its chunky, eggy potatoes, while I though the Coleslaw was a little too heavy on the sauce. The Fries are decent, with good potato flavour.
The Wings Original Hot are done in the traditional American style of buffalo wings, with a strong tangy, sour, and spicy taste, and bright orange-red colour.
The Wings Oriental Soy Pepper is a Singapore only flavour, with a peppery, salty, savoury taste, and deep brown colour.

The Wings Teriyaki is a Japanese inspired flavour, with hints of sweet and savoury taste, and a light brown colour.
The Wings Hickory Smoked BBQ is a Texas / American inspired barbecue flavour, with a bold, sweet, smoky and tangy taste, and deep amber colour.

Atomic Wings - I still remembered there was a challenge during the event for eating the atomic wings! This is the spicy version for the wings! I sure sweat when i eat this but i must say it's pretty good! Especially for someone like me who love spicy food. It's actually shiok and i miss it enough to plan a second visit back for it.

Iced Lemon Tea - Was very surprised when i took my first sip! Not too sweet and refreshing. Definitely recommend this if you are getting a drink at Wing Stop.

Garlic ParmesanWas back to wing stop to try out the other flavors of their chicken wing! I have ordered a set meal and top up the normal fries to cheese fries and it was not bad. For the 6pcs chicken wings, it comes with 2 choices of flavors. I have ordered atomic (forgot to take picture) and garlic parmesan. And I gotta say I love both of the flavors! But it is also nice as the cheese blends well with the taste of the fried chicken. The chicken is tender and soft too. Really glad that wingstop has came to Singapore as it is really delicious. Will definitely return again!

Wings are sold in meals, which consist of a drink, a speciality dip, a side and six or eight pieces of chicken with a maximum of two flavours. Burger junkies would also be happy to know that a Wings Burger is also sold here. My dining partner went for the Classic Wings (six pieces) @ $9.95, going for the Atomic and Hickory BBQ flavours, together with seasoned fries and the Ranch dip, while I had the Boneless Wings (six pieces) @ $9.95 of both Garlic Parmesan and Oriental Soy Pepper flavours with coleslaw and Honey Mustard dip.

We were warned by the counter staff that the Atomic was an extra spicy flavour, but my dining partner decided to take on the challenge. This was indeed not your typical spicy, and seemed like a selection of peppers put into one to create that numbing effect. Try this at your own risk!

Hickory Smoked BBQ brings back that familiar smokey goodness which was all good, but the chicken was not really in the favour. The fried chicken was barely crispy and the skin was hard to come off from the bones; not exactly a pleasant sight with all the sauce loaded on top.

Garlic Parmesan was a powdered flavour, and closely resembled the cheese powder you usually get in pizza restaurants with a garlicky twist. This works particularly well with the Boneless Wings, which were at the least crispier than the Classic Wings but still a bit dry.

Oriental Soy Pepper was a flavour that was claimed to be suited for the Singaporean taste bud. It was somehow similar to the Soy flavours usually served in Korean fried chicken joints, so I presume locals seem to have a liking on Korean fried chicken? To further enhance its taste, pepper was added to the soy flavour to give it a spicy kick.

The Seasoned fries were nicely salted and fluffy but were all rather limp somehow.

Coleslaw was fresh and cold. It is also interesting to note that it does not contain the milky flavour that the ones from KFC carries, but otherwise nothing much to wow about.

Between the Ranch dip and Honey Mustard dip, I preferred the Honey Mustard dip which was sweet but with a light touch of mustard; good for people who do not like the numbness that mustard can bring. The Ranch dip was milky and lightly sour, though verging on tasteless. Personally I thought we could do away with the dips as they were meant for the chicken, which already have sauces on their own to taste. The dips were great for the fries though.

i order cajun flavored wings and gotta say it taste quite exotic. a very usual taste that i never had before. its like spicy and sour and the same time but not tomyum flavored. i will try out other flavors in future.

also, i love their coleslaw! it is very fresh and does not have a "stingy" smell.

overall, i will definitely be back to wing stop to try out the other flavors of the wings!
