I have always been a big fan of Qi Ji Nasi Lemak. Everything that is in that plate is awesome. I have got nothing to pick on. They have 7 different sets for Nasi Lemak and i usually order this (set 7) which consists of chicken cutlet, otah, ikan bilis and peanuts and egg. The rice is very fragrant and the chicken cutlet is very tasty. Love the crispy skin! Also, their chilli is my favorite too. The spice is just right and taste so good with the chicken. My only complain of this dish is the rice given is too little! But maybe because it is so nice that i hope to have more continue reading

I bought a few boxes of Qi Ji Popiah for a small tea party at my place. There are two rolls of popiah per box.Qi Ji food are halal certified. As usual there is always a queue at any Qi Ji outlet especialy during peak hours. So far their popiah standard is pretty consistent.Reasonably priced at S$2.00 per roll. The filling for each popiah has a good amount of turnips, some thinly shredded carrots, thin pieces of egg omelette, small traces of groundnuts and a piece of lettuce instead of the traditional pang chye. The amount of black sweet sauce and chill paste blend well with each serving. The texture of the popiah skin is thick enough to hold the ingredients.I only wish they can provide egg popiah skin in the near future. continue reading

During the Fasting month and at 5.45 - 6.30pm and you wish to get anything from Qi Ji.. dont.. its tooo crowded. There's a lot of people que-ing up for take-aways. So maybe best to come back later after 7.20pm! All i only wanted was to satisfy my Chee Cheong Fun craving that all and I queued for a good 30 mins... or maybe less..Wasted my precious 30 mins.. It was too soggy and was lacking of the thick soy sauce. So most of it was plain and with the sambal which was just alright. Couldnt recall how much i paid for but it was not more than $2.50 for it. Maybe they were busy with the overwhelming crowds so food wasnt that great? I dont know.. continue reading

Review on Qi Ji (Century Square outlet)Average set of meal - for daily lunch/dinner/breakfast.Serves local cuisine.ServiceOverall, I would say the service there is okay. Depends actually - if you go during peak hours, the service would be slower than usual as they only have one server per lane i.e. Nasi Lemak's Queue, Noodles' Queue, Popiah's Queue. Waiting time for such long queues can be about 10-20 minutes. & fyi, they do offer catering services as well.Opening HoursSun to Thu: 07:30 - 21:30Fri to Sat: 07:00 - 22:00Suggested daysAny days except those normal peak-hours like Lunch/Dinner hours.Walking into the shop can be a bit squeezy and finding seats during peak hour can be another issue.Prices $$Prices are okay. From approx. $5 for a meal and a cup of tea to $10 for a good set of meal to make one full.Nasi Lemak starts from $4.Noodles (Laksa/Mee Rebus/Mee siam) starts from $3.50Popiah = $2Chee Cheong Fun = $1.80RatingI'm rating it 3/5.Other varietiesLaksaChee Cheong Fun Nasi LemakPopiah Other OutletsBugis Village160 Rochor RoadSingapore 188435Suntec City Mall3 Temasek Boulevard#01-181/183 Suntec City Mall***p/s: If you're really into spicy food, ask for more sambal (nasi lemak/popiah). continue reading

Mee Rubus is one of my favourite Malay food since young. This stall was pretty packed during lunch hour and it should be pretty good judging from Singaporean mentality when there is queue for something. The mee rubus gravy was not too thick and the viscosity was just right. The gravy was not salty and limejuice was already added to it which saves me the trouble of squeezing. Usually other stalls will give the whole lime. The gravy was simply addictive. There were bits of fried beancurd, bean sprouts and an egg. The noodles were rightly cooked which makes the overall experience a delicious one. However, I think the price is expensive as it costs $3.60.The popiah looks good but a pity it was not ready when I was ordering my food and there were also a lot of people ordering nasi lemak. I shall come back to try the others. I think this is a good place for lunch. continue reading
