Singaporeans are fans of meepok. This is evidenced by the long queue I experienced in the morning whilst queuing for a bowl of dried meepok. I like this meepok because it is not sticky despite being cooked and therefore make for a tangy bowl of noodles. They are generous with their ingredients as well which makes this bowl value for money. The fishballs are tasty and I can certainly eat another bowl. I will be back for more. continue reading

I think this is one of the best dry versions of Mee Pok that I have eaten. I like the Mee Pok as it is done ala dente and the sambal balacan that goes with the noodle is shiok. I normally request without the black vinegar and more sambal. The noodle at $3 comes with mince meat, 2 bouncy fish balls and pork ball with tender slice of pork and slice fish cake. The accompany soup is tasty with celery taste. If you add $1 more you get crunchy prawns. The best part it is open for breakfast till late at night for supper. So if you crave for Mee Pok at night, do gave this dry Mee Pok a try among the many popular Mee Pok stalls in Siglap. continue reading
