Greeting you at the entrance of the cafe are the two cake displays filled with tall chiffon cakes. They disappear quickly but they are also replenished pretty quickly. Their best sellers are the matcha chiffon cake and the matcha roll.It is a NETT priced cafe, but it is also self service. So whilst you order and pay for your food at the cashier, get a friend to head inside the long cafe, to find seats.1. Matcha Chiffon Cake $7I'll be honest, for a chiffon cake, $7 is really pricey. The chiffon cake itself is very light, however the butter cream all over the cake, tasted very cheesey. The cheesey taste was unexpected and I am not sure if everyone would like it. It was more like a cheesecake + matcha chiffon cake. 2. Chocolate Chiffon Cake $7The chocolate chiffon cake was more enjoyable than the Matcha Chiffon Cake, the chocolate cream was so delightable, I devoured it in no time.Would I come back here for more of these $7 chiffon cakes? No, why? Because they're $7! But it was an interesting experience. I may come back to try the matcha roll though. continue reading

This is my second time here at Dulcet and Studio. I liked the relatively quiet environment of this little Japanese cafe, and the casual vibe it has. I remembered the first time when I came i had to try the cream puff (you can read my review http://sg.openrice.com/singapore/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=54128 ) Sadly, the cream puff has been sold out this time round, and as i didn't feel like eating a cake I chose something light: smoked salmon salad. Expect a mixture of Western meets Japanese cuisine including specialty pasta, beef spare rib stew, fish & chip. Lunch and dinner sets are served at a very reasonable price of below $15 and $20 respectively. If you go to their facebook page, you will also see that they have recently updated their menu. Anyway, my smoked salmon salad was surprisingly good and hearty with thick slices of salmon and the salad dressing was a creamy type but light. They were definitely not stingy on the salmon! The coffee there is not too bad as well.. i like the cappuccino. Overall a nice place to hang out if you want to avoid the crowd, and try to catch the cream puffs before they are sold out! continue reading

There were promotions for cakes when I went here and it was 3 cakes for $12! The cakes shown in the picture were quite delicious, except for the marble cake though because it tasted like normal sponge cake! Good for chilling. They sell beer too so you can relax here and chitchat. continue reading

I didn't went to the Dulcet & Studio for any meal but a lovely colleague bought me a Custard Pudding for dessert which melt my heart... The pudding was too sweet and it resembled some kind of low quality pudding, it was rather disappointing...After searching online which people highly recommend was the Famous best seller Cream puff is not to be missed. It's no wonder why these brown pastries are so popular...gotta to try when I'm at Liang Court~!! continue reading

Dulcet n Studio at Liang Court is a Japanese lifestyle concept restaurant serving a fusion of Japanese and Western cuisines using Japanese ingredients. The inner half of the dining space is a cooking studio where culinary classes are conducted.I am not a sweet tooth person but the strawberry short cake slice I bought from Dulcent n Studio is just yummy and impressive. With fresh slices of strawberries, this Japanese cake is fluffy and light in texture. Not creamy nor buttery.Simply craving for more. Though pricey at S$7.00 per slice its really delightful. The custard pudding at $$3.50 is creamy and smooth but slightly sweet. continue reading
