I was on annual leave on Friday as I have a one-night stay-cation at Marina Bay Sands, so I met up with Angeline for lunch at 鼎泰豐 Fried Rice with Shrimps & Eggs. Rice very fragrant & shrimp nicely cookedStir Fry Nai Bai with Garlic. NaiBai is crunchy & not over cookedSliced Duck in Crispy Spring Onion Pastry. Slightly oily but the smoked duck is quite tasty.Steamed Angled Gourd & Shrimp DumplingsThe vegetable in the dumpling has got quite a weird taste & the filling is quite little. Apart from the weird tasting vegetable, there is hardly any broth in the dumplings. continue reading

I had guests from overseas who had tasted Din Tai Fung in Korea and wanted to try the local version. Glad I brought them to the MBS branch. The service was good and efficient and the food was fantastic. I would recommend the chilli crab xiao long bao. The other favorite dishes of the night were: Xiao Cai (Appetizer), Pork Chop with Fried Rice, Xiao long Bao and Zha Jiang Mian. continue reading

Din Tai Fung is always a popular choice for meals with it's nice appetizer and various dishes + lots of locations for you to choose from.Fragrant Pork with Crushed Garlic 蒜泥白肉 is one dish which i can always enjoy on my own or shared with family and friends. It's so good and very appetizing due to the sauce. Love the garlic taste together with the meat and everything. Regardless of what i had this with (rice, noodles or just on it's own), it's simply divine =) continue reading

No special occasion or reason, I and my boyfriend came here for a dinner. Maybe it was normal for somebody to dine-in here, but for me, I appreciated deeply.Transparent kitchen in front of us, it proved that the food was freshly prepared on the spot.Handmade noodles which pleasantly tossed with minced pork and mushrooms in bean sauce, it was originally created by Din Tai Fung.I ordered this, another signature dish by Ding Tai Fung. The dumplings was satisfying with a generous amount of filling. The prawn was obviously fresh. It was traditionally contained minced pork and shrimp, wrapped in a delicate dough skin, which was then pleated, twisted at the top and steamed. Juicy meat which was easily melted in your mouth.Packed with goodness, it was healthy. Steamed dumplings laden with the finest truffles, a must try snack.Overall, I like the cozy environment here although the price charged was a bit higher. continue reading

We were relieved to find the prices at the MBS' Din Tai Fung no different from those at its other outlets. It is easy to.know why there is a minimum waiting time of 15minutes here even for a table that seats only two diners. A few steps away at the Rasapura Food Court, noodle dishes are priced from $6.80. At DTF, you get your food served to you at the table. One dish meals like fried rice with pork chop costs $9.90++ while noodles with toppings are priced from $8++.The chicken soup with noodles $10.80++ is a mildly flavoured & clean tasting dish. The noodles and chicken soup are served separately and the diner can add as much or as little of the soup to the noodles as desired. The soup contained a mix of thigh and breast meat. It would have been nice if some wolfberries and/or chinese almond seeds had been added to the soup to enhance its flavour & anemic colour. The beef noodles $11++ was not bad too. We ordered a plate of sauteed spinach $9++ and 6pcs of xiaolongbao $7.30++ for sharing. continue reading
