This time round at Putien i tried out their cold dishes such as cold jelly fish head, drunken chicken and braised salted duck. The cold jelly fish head was crunchy and sweet, unlike other restaurants whereby the jelly fish slices then to me slimy and tasteless. The drunken chicken had a very strong herbal taste to it - which is an acquired taste so its not suitable for everybody. The braised salted duck was thinly sliced and well marinated, but it could have been a little more juicy. Other dishes we had were the putien style century egg which is basically fried century egg spammed sweet sauce. I don't normally like century egg but this one was great, i loved the sweet sauce on the batter.
