Each time when I visited the Tampines Round Market and Food Centre, I will not fail to pack a bowl of Lotus Seed dessert as take-away. Its almost impossible to find a good Lotus Seed Dessert these days, either they are too sweet, too bland or too mushy.
Of late, I noticed this stall standard of preparing Lotus Seeds has dropped, the lotus seeds are too soft and the dessert has become very sweet. The stall closes every Monday and Thursday. I was quite surprised that I was able to purchase a bowl of Lien Chee Suan around 11am, normally by early morning, this dessert would have been sold out.
