This tin-foil bowl was bought from the best famous pau seller. The meat of steamed glutinous rice with chicken is juicy and the portion is just nice for me so that I can slim down my tummy. Conclusion: I always love to eat Lo Mai Gai (糯米雞) because it is yummy all round! continue reading

The pau here is really really huge. I always get the big pork pau which is almost big enough for a light lunch! The pau is very very juicy and when you bite into it, alot of juice will flow out. The pau skin is thin and supple and holds lots of chunky meat. There is also some crunchy bits in the pau filling so that the texture is not too flat. Costing 1.60 per piece its an affordable treat continue reading

Teck kee pau sells many different types of dim sum items. One of the items I like is the ma Lau Goh. This simple cake is done well being light and fluffy and not too oily. The cake has a nice vanilla like undertone which leaves you with a nice buzzy feeling after eating the cake. The cake is quite small though so I often have to buy two for breakfast. Luckily it is not expensive costing a mere eighty cents per piece. Best eaten warm! continue reading

the buns here are always great. the pastry does not get as soggy as other bun chains. teck kee is very consistent in quality and it always tastes great. there is a slight ammonia taste in the pastry but otherwise, it is very good. the fillings are aqeduately spiced and well-balanced. particularly like their vegetable bun and mala cake. highly recommended. continue reading

I love the local savoury snacks and kuehs especially those with meat fillings like ba chang and paus. I just wanted a quick bite to settle a meal and just headed straight to Teck Kee. Usually I preferred those pork pau but thought I tried the chicken instead. Hmm...the taste was not too bad just that I found a piece of chicken's skin and felt weird chewing on something fatty and didn't like that feeling and had to throw it out( wonder was that why the fillings were juicy and not dry), the pau pastry was slightly thick but I suppose all paus selling at kiosk usually are made this way. Overall okay and edible. continue reading
