Commonly see the dessert - mango pomelo sago 楊枝甘露. But this one comes with additional scoop of icecream. So decided to try it. It is really good. It comes with a lot of mango chunks. The mango cream is sweet to the right extent and the pomelo and mango bits adds a tinch of sourness . The icecream is of very smooth texture and when eaten together with the mango chunks and cream, the combination is perfect - sweet and sour in harmony. At a price of around $5, I think it is quite value-for-money. 1.The Hau Kau and Siew Mai taste bad! The Hau Kau skin was very thick, prawn taste quite soso.. and siew mai...the pork too lean.. I prefer the siew mai serve at crystal jade Palace ..because there is pork, prawn and mushroom that match perfectly! yummy..2. Carrot Cake quite nice! quite crispy on the outside.. inner part was soft! likes!3. Century egg with meat congee! The bowl look like a cup! Cute! Taste not bad.. because they cooked until you cannot even see the rice lor... But it was not very hot when it is served!(Aircon too strong is it?) so I still prefer the congee at Crystal Jade PALACE instead la. 4. Deep fried shrimp dumpling! Nthing Fantastic! Cannot taste the freshness of the prawn... not oily..but not really hot when it is served! 5. fried Spring Roll (Yam & Veg) My frenz ordered this and say it is tasty la... :) 6.Steam Veg Dumpling,Delicious! I love the shredded veg,carrot and mushroom in it! MUST ORDER! :)7.Steam Rice Roll with Shrimp! Not bad.. but the prawn was okay..nthing fantastic... And I think having green Veg beside the rice roll seems abit "extra" la.... Skin was not thin enough also..if compare to the one at imperial treasure.. I love their chee cheong fun.. 8.Egg tart.. My frenz ordered it..commented that it is not hot... I was abit shock when I heard this..because normally when I had egg tart in crystal jade kitchen and crystal jade palace, their egg tart are fresh from oven... hot and fresh and juicy!9. Crystal Jade is one of my favorite restaurant to dine in for chinese food. I feel that their quality of food is pretty good. Xiao Long Bao. My favorite! if you are a big fan of xiao long bao, i suggest you try the xiao long bao buffet at holland V crystal jade. Anyway, xiao long bao is basically pork dumplings with soup. i like xiao long bao from crystal jade the most as the soup is really tasty, the posk does not have the "fishy" smell too. i can eat this everyday Seafood fried rice. the portion is just nice and the fried rice is not too oily and yummy :) …查看更多

I ordered a special deal 6-course set for $68++ per person. The original price was $88++. It seemed quite like a good deal so I decided to try it out.Here's what we tried:Combination of smoked sliced duck with crispy roasted pork belly: duck meat was very tender and pork belly was a great complement to the stronger flavoured duck meat.Braised whole abalone (10 heads) w/black mushroom: it was quite hard to chew but the gravy was very flavourful.Braised slice fresh abalone with abalone mushroom: I prefer this to the braised whole abalone as this was more fragrant and easier to chew.Pan-fried prawn with maggie sauce: tasted average and ordinarySteamed prawns with golden mushroom & minced garlic: a simple but tasty dish. prawns were fresh.Steamed sea bass fillet w/ egg plant & preserved veg: tender and soft flesh with well cooked vegetablesBaked sea bass fillet w/ goose liver paste & soya bean crumb: the lighter taste of the fish fillet went well with the heavier taste of the goose liver. The soya bean crumb tasted weird but still alright.Noodle with crab meat & crab roe in soup: broth was flavourful and it tasted very homemade. good!Service was fine, nothing exceptional. Having lunch with a group of people is really good cause you can order lots of food and we share. We went to Crystal Jade at Vivo City. This is my first time at a fine dining crystal jade establishment! Prices here are alot steeper than the casual dining outlets since the ambience is nicer and there is a wider selection of dim sum. Came here for Sunday lunch for dim sum. Most of the dim sum was pretty average, with hits and misses. The liu sha bao here is pretty tasteless! Not really worth the calories! Crystal jade dining in offers dim sum during lunch. There are three seating and I went for the later one at 1.30 pm. Despite the hype surrounding it I did not find the food here exceptionally good the dim sum was average with some standouts such as a really nice char siew sou. This place has lovely views of the water and on a clear day you can see Sentosa clearly. A colourful train carrying people goes around the place at intervals, adding to the atmosphere. Very nice place. Service is not very helpful or friendly, and can be arrogant. The table setting is minimalist and only what is required. The standard wet towel is chargeable. There are also some sourish appetizers which are also standard chargeable items.But food and views are great. Very clean place. Everything is neat and tidy. Nice decor. Definitely recommended for the decor, ambience, location. It is very easy to find and get to. The competitor Tung Lok is just next door! Wheelchairs and prams have to use a special entrance at the back. The entry into the restaurant is actually very narrow and small and has some steps.We had Tie Guan Yin tea, which my companions commented that it was not fragrant enough to be like Tie Guan Yin. It was more like some kind of Chinese green tea. But it was good enough. They do not top up your hot water unless requested. Also, if you are already served your last dish, they will ignore you from then on, as they do not want you to sit there drinking tea only.The baked honey char siew bun is very good. Wish there was more filling and not so much air! Love honey char siew and it is done nicely here. Soft and sweet. And moist, not dry. About $8The baked egg tarts were pretty good and hot. However, my companions commented that the ones at Tung Lok were much better. The crust here is flaky and buttery. The egg is fragrant and rich. About $8The salt and pepper fried tofu was nice too. Very salty of course. Not much pepper taste but there was red pepper flakes on it. Nice and soft. No real tofu taste though. Maybe it’s too salty to taste like anything else. Walked in on a weekend dinner and was seated at the room area, sharing a long table with other diners. Service was good as they'll try to pour the tea for you whenever the teacup is half full.Ordered char siew bao, siew mai, deep fried prawn roll with mango, carrot cake and a meat platter (roasted duck and roasted pork). There were lots of food resturant in Vivo City to choose from. In the end, together with one of my friend we decided to Crystal Jade Restaurant to have our dinner. It was a total of 7 small dishes and we ordered an extra Lotus Rice to share. Below are the 8 dishes that I tried with my friends. We went to have a set dinner where there are 6 dishes an 1 dessert. Overall, the dishes that I tried was superb ! All the food served to us was fresh and delicious. Especially, their lotus rice, it was fragrant and not that oily. The cozy chair, comfortable environment, marvellous delicacies and good service was worth the money to spend on. Crystal jade has never failed me...tried the branch at Vivocity and realised they had an awesome view. It faces Sentosa and as I was there on a Friday night, we got to enjoy the fireworks by Universal Studio at 9pm sharp. Extra perk for us! :) My friends and I ordered salted egg yolk with prawns, claypot egg plant with vegetables, sweet and sour chicken as well as roasted meat platter (char siew, chicken and roast duck). One of the determining factors as to whether the restaurant has good dim sums (or if the chef is good) has to be to try out its har gous!I like my har gous to have thin, yet firm skin that doesn't break too easily, but yet thin enough for the fresh and thick prawns inside.The har gous at crystal jade never let me down, as the prawns were large and fresh, and the skin was pretty thin and soft.One basket also comes in fours (instead of the usual 3 pieces at some other dim sum restaurants)…查看更多
