The FoodI ordered a plate of Fried Kway Teow and was very fragrant when served to my table. The sweet sauce that was added into the kway teow was just nice and has the right level of sweetness. The Kway Teow is thin and smooth and the texture is not too watery or too dry hence just nice. Inside have ingredients like fish cake, chinese sausages, crunchy bean sprouts, fresh cockles and eggs. The chilli is also not too spicy hence acceptable for me. The PriceReasonably priced at $3 with generous po

Maybe Mee Siam in Singapore here refers to thin rice noodles or meehoon in spicy, sweet and sour light gravy. But for me, Mee Siam can also be dry-fried. I finally found it at this stall, located at one of the hawker centre in Toa Payoh. Selling economic rice, noodles, kway teow and meehoon. It was different from the normal plain economic meehoon, maybe its spice paste that gives the meehoon its robust flavour. Sambal added point to Meehoon too. Not too spicy, sweet in nature with onions taste. T

The price was fine, $1.50 per packet(take-away). The portion-wise, it might be not too full but it definitely was enough for a breakfast.

I never expect to find a stall that still selling $2 for a plate of fried kway teow. I was curious enough to order and later further amazed by the portion given for $2. The kway teow fried nicely with yellow noodle to achieve a moist texture with a distinctive wok taste. It was fried with ingredients like fishcake, bean sprouts, egg, cockles and even chinese sausage. This is truly value for money. This is a must try if you are in this food centre.

Where else can you still get a plate of fried kway teow for simply $2.00? Most stalls have already raised their price to at least $2.50 or higher. This seemed to be quite a popular stall amongst others in this food centre. I was there at about 5.30 pm, though not quite dinner time yet but spotted a constant flow of customers. I decided to try it mainly out of curiosity. A plate of delicious looking fried kway teow was served to my table in just 10 minutes. The fried kway teow was nicely fried ye

I decided to try it mainly out of curiosity. A plate of delicious looking fried kway teow was served to my table in just 10 minutes.

The fried kway teow was nicely fried yet not compromising on its moist texture with generous ingredients like big slices of lup cheong, fish cake together with bean sprouts and egg. Though this is not the best plate of fried kway teow that i ever tasted but it is definitely value for money.

So now, if you have only $2 in your pocket and yet not to keen to spend it on a Cheese Burger then this could be the next better alternative.

Recommended.
