Decided to give this stall a second chance (previously, the fried bee hoon here was too salty) and ordered the hor fun to try. I asked for no seafood, so I was given more pork slices. This time round, the dish was not salty and the sauce was not bad. The pork slices were also quite tender and amount of vegetables given was generous. At least it's up to a general expectation for a zi-char stall. Still, nothing spectacularly good about this dish, but it'll do if you are not too finicky for your zi

This zi-char stall located in the food centre is brightly-lit and thus attracts customers' attention easily. Since there were quite a few other patrons ordering from this stall, I decided to give it a try as well. I just ordered a simple fried beehoon dish as a taste-test. This zi-char stall located in the food centre is brightly-lit and thus attracts customers' attention easily. Since there were quite a few other patrons ordering from this stall, I decided to give it a try as well. I just ordered a simple fried beehoon dish as a taste-test. Since my hubby does not eat seafood (except fish), we requested for the prawns & squid to be changed to other items. Thus we were provided with tender fish & pork slices instead. The dish came with wok fragrance & I liked the thin beehoon they used.

However, with my first bite, Zhang Ziyi sprang up in my mind. Do you recall the visa advertisement she was in before? That left a pretty deep impression. Zhang Ziyi went into a restaurant and ordered soup. When asked how it tasted, she went on to say" "The soup is too salty", followed by a flurry of fighting & settling the damages with a visa card. Ok, enough of all the cinematics and back to my dish. I must say: "The beehoon is too salty". Of course I did not flip up the table and go on a kungfu rampage. We just had to frantically search for a drink to quench our thirst due to the saltiness. It was a pity though, because otherwise the dish is pretty good. I wonder if the chef was heavy-handed for the salt just this once? Will have to try out a few more times to be sure...anyone up to the challenge? (Fighting not included)
