This zi-char stall located in the food centre is brightly-lit and thus attracts customers' attention easily. Since there were quite a few other patrons ordering from this stall, I decided to give it a try as well. I just ordered a simple fried beehoon dish as a taste-test. Since my hubby does not eat seafood (except fish), we requested for the prawns & squid to be changed to other items. Thus we were provided with tender fish & pork slices instead. The dish came with wok fragrance & I liked the thin beehoon they used.

However, with my first bite, Zhang Ziyi sprang up in my mind. Do you recall the visa advertisement she was in before? That left a pretty deep impression. Zhang Ziyi went into a restaurant and ordered soup. When asked how it tasted, she went on to say" "The soup is too salty", followed by a flurry of fighting & settling the damages with a visa card. Ok, enough of all the cinematics and back to my dish. I must say: "The beehoon is too salty". Of course I did not flip up the table and go on a kungfu rampage. We just had to frantically search for a drink to quench our thirst due to the saltiness. It was a pity though, because otherwise the dish is pretty good. I wonder if the chef was heavy-handed for the salt just this once? Will have to try out a few more times to be sure...anyone up to the challenge? (Fighting not included)
