I ordered a durian cake and the friendly Chinese lady on the phone helped me get the reservation done and I came down 2 weeks later to pick it up.The shop is quite big, but they don't sell alot of items, at least the shelves were more than half empty. But I did take note of the jar cakes, which looked good.Here is the durian cake that I ordered, I like that the cream was piped dot by dot on the cake and the smiley face was cute. For $20.80, I feel that it was quite worth the money! Everyone like

There is real durian fruit in the cake layers and it was sweet and delicious. The whole car smelt of durian after we drove the cake home for 20 minutes. Sad thingw as that after 3 days, the durian tasted sour, very sour. I wonder now if the cake had been made days in advance before my collection date, or the quality of the durian was questionable. Hence, my impression of their cake quality now is in the air.

I happen to pass by this bakery on my way home after dinner! A range of jar cakes are arranged nicely on their display counter and flavours include Durian, Tiramisu, Mango, Chocolate, Strawberry and Matcha. I tried jar cakes once and didn't really had a good impression of them. Anyway, I decided to buy one to try and got the durian flavour. Thankfully, this jar cake is much better than the one I had previously from another bakery! I like the huge dollops of durian cream surrounding the chiffon

Thankfully, this jar cake is much better than the one I had previously from another bakery! I like the huge dollops of durian cream surrounding the chiffon cake slices! However, I find that it is pretty expensive for a small jar of dessert. Besides the jar cakes, the bakery sells cupcakes, breads, cakes etc as well! ;)

One of the freshly baked durian puff that I enjoyed with real fresh durian. The puff is so soft and uniformly sized, every mouthful in a thumb and they are not messy. Can easily finished it within an hour. It comes in a box of 20 pcs and at reasonable price. The confectionery shop also sells cakes, cake in-a-jar, breads and other buns as well.

Indeed an innovative concept of storing a slice piece of cake and there is no hassle about having to clean you hand after eating as a plastic spoon comes along with the purchase.

Also, after consuming the cake, the jar can be recycled for other storage purpose.

I find the price expensive and there is nothing very special about the jar cake other than the decorative piece of paper that wrapped round the cover of the jar and a piece of string being tied to the jar bottle.

The taste is similar to normal sliced cake. In fact the ingredient are a bit dry but there is the freshness of the mango bits surrounding the slice cake.
