Not-so Supreme Fish Burger...

Was enticed by LJS’s latest coupon deals and decided to try out one of their latest offerings – Silver’s Fish Supreme Combo ($5.95 nett). The burger consists of their signature fish fillet sandwiched between two pieces of Ciabatta bread and layered with a generous serving of creamy dill sauce. Was enticed by LJS’s latest coupon deals and decided to try out one of their latest offerings – Silver’s Fish Supreme Combo ($5.95 nett). The burger consists of their signature fish fillet sandwiched between two pieces of Ciabatta bread and layered with a generous serving of creamy dill sauce.

Overall, I found the burger to be rather average (Mac’s Fillet-O-Fish still rocks my world!), with only the creamy dill sauce deserving some compliments. The Ciabatta bread slices were kind of tough and lacked the fragrance commonly associated with the herbs in the bread. The fish did not seem to go well with the bread and might have been better off as a standalone classic LJS Pollock Fish Fillet & Chicken Combo. The only saving grace was the creamy dill sauce that added a zesty and refreshing taste to the burger.

 Good try LJS, but I guess I’ll probably stick to my usual Fish & Chicken Combo


P/S: Perhaps LJS could consider offering the creamy dill sauce as a complementary sauce to their Fish & Chicken Combo

Long John Silver’s had a chain of fastfood outlets. This place could be suitable for reading and studies depending on the circumstances or situation. It was not bad to sit in this fast food outlet to meet tuition teachers, parents and friends.The food there consisted of French fries, fish, chicken, and seafood. The food there consisted of French fries, fish, chicken, and seafood. There are drinks and side dishes available as well. It could be fun to poke the meat with the fork without cutting them to eat with bites. The meat would not drop, surprisingly.

The most favouring part of Long John Silver’s was the French fries. They were so different from other fast food outlets. They seemed to have a mouth watering fragrance that lured people into the fast food outlet to buy them. The chilli was different from other fastfood outlet as well. It was sweeten and it went well with the French Fries. I would also think that some of the set meals could be affordable. I chased after the French Fries fragrance and asked for the Long John Silver's Chilli when I was a kid. I had fun mixing the chilli and French Fries together for my tummy.

The meat at Long John Silver’s were usually fried, it could be a favourite for people who like fried food. The fish there tasted a little like prawn crackers. The chicken meat could also be a favourite for people who like fried food. It was not a bad idea to eat the chicken meat with fries and chilli all at a time.

I can recommend the place for studying and some reading, depending on the time and situation. At the least, I could get a drink while reading at that place to quench my thirst. I would also think that the place was not bad for having meals, chit- chat and discussions. It was also possible for celebrations of a different kind to be held at Long John Silver's in the Bukit Panjang Branch.

Long John Silver, I like fish more than chicken

I live around here so I hang around Bukit Panjang very very often. Whenever I am in Long John Silver, I will order the combo set with chicken and fish, and always without fail, I find that the the chicken is always toooooo dry, and fish just niceee!And the shrimp is always nice.Frankly I feel that LJS breakfast is under-rated, I always like the thick toast with egg and chicken. Really good!

Frankly I feel that LJS breakfast is under-rated, I always like the thick toast with egg and chicken. Really good!
