Was invited to feast at Morganfield's this year, therefore I bought along a friend with me to enjoy the night with good food together. Kids will definitely love it. Though it is the combination made with Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar beer, you won't get to taste a very strong beer taste. Yummy.

We got the Garlic BBQ Ribs this time round. Like before, the ribs were really tender and fell off the bone really easily. This would have been great if there wasn't so much sauce. The sauce was sweet, tangy and slightly spicy, and because the ribs were thickly coated with it, I felt that it really overpowered the tender meat. By the way, the garlic taste wasn't strong (in case there's any of you who's worried it's too strong). I also like the mashed potato where you could still taste bits of pot

My colleague and I decided to lunch in at their Star Vista Branch which is within walking distance from our office.Located on the second floor of The Star Vista, the restaurant is huge and you can pick the corner window seat for a beautiful view of the greenery surrounding.  We did not make any reservation and we walked in directly. We did not have to wait too long and we were ushered to a comfortable seats. After browsing their menu, we decided to order their "Oinkingly Top Value Set Lunch".

Beer Battered Fish Fillet
The fish fillets were huge, tasty and fresh. The fish meat was smooth and tender. I like it
But I wondered why they named it as "beer battered"?

We shared the Chocolate Lava Cake. The hot chocolate cake melts in your mouth like lava flowing out from the volcano. The ice cream was just nice and not too sweet to compliment the chocalate cake.

 Overall, it was really a good lunch and it was value for money. I like the ambience as it was quiet and you will have a lot of privacy. The waitresses' customer services were good and they offered us hot napkins at the end of the meal.

 Lovely dessert, Cranberry ‘n’ Peach Crumble S$13.90 was a great ending session. Dessert topped with butter sugar crumble and a smooth melting scoop of vanilla ice cream. The combination of warm and cold senses left a deep impression over it.

 A first time having hazelnut flavored chicken. Marinated with rogue hazlenut brown nectar and roasted until brown. Accompanied with potates and chestnuts. Quite a huge chicken as you can see, probably around 800g. Found the chicken a tad too dry for my liking.

 Its name burdened the dish with much expectation and I would say, it did not disappoint. This whole leg of ham weighs approximately 4-5 kg and when it was displayed, drew the 'wahhs' and 'woahs' from the table. That outer glazed was fantastically yummy. Aside, its interior was juicy and tender. Probably the highlight of the night and I would come back here just for this. However, you need a large group because 4kg worth of ham is indeed a sight to behold and finish.

 If you prefer a mix of items, this platter will spoil you. As many as 11 different food - grilled sausages, two different type of ribs, the glazed ham slices, smoked turkey and siders (potatoes, carrots, onions, green beans and corn bread). This platter is probably good for 4. The Corn bread was especially good, seldom can you find this american dish here in Singapore, and i loved every crumb of it.

 This glass of heaven - the beer candied bacon. Perhaps the dish better than the leg of ham. Accompanied with the X'mas beers, you can finish this sinful treat in seconds. Glazed in Morganfield's secret recipe, I doubt you can find a bacon as good as this elsewhere.

 Pork at their various ends. The beer candied bacon appears again! The pop corn pork was very floury. Sliced pork Bratwurst which was a real treat. Great for sharing and married with beer.

 The interior - stewed cranberries and cubed peaches form the base. A portion of crumble (which was not enough) above, finished by a scoop of vanilla. Comfort X'mas dessert.

Though Morganfield’s is well-known for its sticky pork ribs, the newly revamped menu now includes a wide selection of appetizers, salads, steaks and chops, seafood, poultry, burgers, sandwiches and an array of side orders.
We got the chance to taste some of the popular side orders alongside the ribs.
Our verdict, if you are looking for a good chill out place with friends, Morganfield’s could be a good choice for its delicious ribs and snacks. Do give their Homemade Cinnamon Candied Bacon (or American bak kwan as we called it) a try; the signature sticky bones should not be missed as well, and of course, with an ice cold bottle of beer!

My friends and I were here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and the place was pretty filled up. The restaurant was big and spacious with indoor and outdoor seats. One side of the restaurant was entirely a window view, hence a lot of sunlight filled up the restaurant making it bright and nice, I really liked it.We ordered the Ocean Feast Platter to be shared among the 6 of us, consisting of full slab ribs, 3 corn muffins, 3 grilled corn on cob, tequila grilled prawns, sausages, fish & chips and sa

 We ordered the Ocean Feast Platter to be shared among the 6 of us, consisting of full slab ribs, 3 corn muffins, 3 grilled corn on cob, tequila grilled prawns, sausages, fish & chips and salad.

We chose to have hickory bbq sauce for the ribs. The sauce was good and the meat was flavourful, moist and tender, coming off the bones really easily. The tequila prawns were grilled but still retained it's moist and bounciness, the taste was different from the normal grilled prawns. This was good. Sausages were also moist and bouncy. Corn muffin, fish and chips were ok.

We also ordered the Virgin Apple Mojito which was refreshing with its mint leaves, tasting just like an unalcoholic version of mojito. This was good!

Those craving for ribs should definitely come here for a try! Fans of prawns should also try out their Tequila Grilled Prawns

Morganfield is famous for its sticky bones. Besides ordering their specialty, i decided to try out one of their side dishes: the deep fried pork meatballs wrapped with bacon & served with Dijon mustard.As the name suggest, the dish is fried pork meatballs wrapped with bacon. it is meatball with bacon around it. Nothing special though. The meatball was quite nice, though i feel was quite salty. The dijion mustard tasted abit weird in my own opinion :/

Decided to order their side dish : spicy chicken wings. These deep fried chicken wings are tossed with the home made Habanero Hot Sauce and served with crudités and sour cream. The chicken wings are well marinated and extremely flavourful, making you crave for more. It is served with sour cream too, however, i feel that eating the chicken wing by itself is really nice and the sour cream is quite unnecessary though.

This was my first time dining at Morganfield. It is the 'Home of sticky Bones' , with their signature dish of prime pork rib slow cooked and smoked till the meat is soft and tender. I ordered their signature dish, Hickory BBQ Spare Ribs. This dish was the most tender and succulent pork ribs cooked with bbq sauce. This was my first time dining at Morganfield. It is the 'Home of sticky Bones' , with their signature dish of prime pork rib slow cooked and smoked till the meat is soft and tender.

I ordered their signature dish, Hickory BBQ Spare Ribs. This dish was the most tender and succulent pork ribs cooked with bbq sauce. It was extremely flavourful and tender, really sweet and delicious!
You can choose whether to order half/ full slab. Their half slab was really quite big! Hence sharing will be recommended if you are a girl though


I highly recommend Morganfield if you are a meat lover, especially for pork ribs!

If you are a MEAT EATER, give it a try for this restaurant... The Morganfield's!!Had a chance to visit the restaurant on last year Christmas, It’s a large restaurant with outdoor seating and a surprisingly spacious interior, it was very cosy but was packed, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves...I had the Hickory BBQ Spare Ribs as it's their their signature dish...It was a Wow when the staff brought the food to our table...Ribs were good, the meat is juicy and tender...no complain with it!!

 This Christmas, it is offering Christmas Cranberry Sticky Bones ($28.90++/ Half Slab, $42.90++/ Full Slab). The fruity sauce is made with dried cranberries. The full slab bbq ribs is served with coleslaw and fries. The ribs is very tender, with lots of soft bones.

 Also having the Sausage Platter ($23.90++) which consists chicken sausage, black pepper sausage, spicy pork sausage and cheese pork sausage. It is served with coleslaw, Dijon mustard and homemade garlic aioli. The sausages are fat and juicy, as well as, full of flavours.

 To forgetting the Corn Bread ($3.90++) which is actually homemade corn bread muffin. It is soft and buttery with lots of corn in it.

 Since we are dining on Sunday, kids get to eat for free. Therefore little JJ got his kid's meal for free. He has the Pork Burger ($7.90++) which is 100gm pork patty in a burger bun with tomatoes, lettuce and cheddar cheese, served with fries and coleslaw. The burger bun is very soft which little JJ finishes it all.

For drink through the staff's recommendation, I have Ice Lemon Tea which costs $4.90++ and is refillable. But have quite a bit of problem getting the attention of the staff to refill the drink as the restaurant is quite understaffed.

Overall it is quite a delicious meal but the lack of staff needs to improve. We also waited quite awhile for the bill.

 This crispy deep fried fish fillet is seasoned with their beer batter, and comes with tar tat sauce. The taste of the beer batter is not that rich, so in overall, I feel that it's like any other fish & chips served outside, which is a little disappointing. This dish comes with french fries and salad too.

AMBIENCE
I like the ambience of this restaurant, as they don't have many patrons and makes it a comfortable and quiet environment for dining.

PRICE
The food here is quite pricey, as they serve high end western food. But they do have lunch promotions at times, which makes it much affordable.
