Settled a quick dinner here nearby and ordered oyster omelette $12, claypot chicken dice $12, and fish soup $5.50. The claypot dish had lots of black fungus in it and the gravy was quite watery. Along with the oyster omelette, both dishes seemed to be poorly executed and done hastily. The omelette was oily, thin, not at all fluffy. The fish soup on the other hand had fresh fish slices in it although portion of ingredients was quite little. Rice was also lumpy and stuck together. 

The kway chap costs $4.50 which is reasonable for an air-conditioned eatery. Over the years, the portion seemed to be getting smaller and smaller. The kway chap standard has also dropped a lot and it was quite salty too when I tried recently. There was a herbal taste to it but not very strong. Overall, it is worth a skip.

Seen often after midnight, several taxi drivers will come for supper. Situated under hdb block, I don’t find it significant despite staying in Bukit Batok for almost 20 years. I heard they do serve large intestine with glutinous rice. This restaurant was featured in the Sunday Times not too long ago. So, since it was Mothers' Day, we decided to try out the Teochew Cuisine served in this restaurant.
