The salad consists of cucumber, lettuce, carrot, tomatoes and jicama (aka "bang kwang). It was actually the first time I had jicama in a salad. The vegetables used were relatively fresh and was relatively filling for a light lunch. What makes the salad so unique though, is the orange sauce. I have no idea what sauce it was but it had a very unique taste that was kind of sour and sweet. My family really liked the salad and I'd totally recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice juicy salad.

I prefer bread over rice so I was thrilled to find this food item on Yaki Yaki Bo's menu. I've never seen Japanese restaurants serving food along with bread so it was a nice surprise. Since I didn't have to add-on a bowl of rice, it costs just $9.90 for this dish (ala carte). I expected the grilled chicken to be salty but it wasn't. It was tender but not juicy. I expected the grilled chicken to be salty but it wasn't. It was tender but not juicy. It has a light taste so I decided to try them with black pepper sauce and it went well with it. The chicken is then topped off with fried garlic..which I didn't really like since the garlic taste was too overwhelming for me. The bread was actually garlic bread and its thick and hard. I had to use my hands to tear the bread. Also, I noticed "neighbouring" tables who tried the dishes with the bread either did not eat the bread or only ate the inner side of the bread, leaving the bread ears.

Although it initially looked like there's not much chicken, I was relatively full after finishing the entire dish alone. Pretty worth it in my opinion. I'd totally order this item again next time I'm at Yaki Yaki Bo

This is the first time I dined at Yaki Yaki Bo and I decided to try Okonomiyaki for my first time. I ordered for ham and cheese Okonomiyaki. It is basically a Japanese savoury pancake consisting of lots of cabbage, ham and cheese. It is then topped off with the sauce taste like the sauce takoyaki stalls put on their takoyakis and a lot of bonito flakes. Unfortunately, I only had a slice of the Okonomiyaki before I decided to order for something else. I'm the typical teen kind who do not eat vege

I'm the typical teen kind who do not eat vegetables and to make matters worse, there were thick layers of cabbage in the pancake so I had a hard time swallowing it.

Apart from the thick layers of cabbage..the pancake was great. They were very generous with the chicken ham and the sauce, which is very sweet, went well with the pancake. However, I could hardly taste the cheese because the sauce was too overwhelming.

To be fair, although I didn't finish it, my family, who do eat vegetables, enjoyed it thoroughly and it was worth it. Although its my first Okonomiyaki and I do not know the normal standard of these pancakes, I pretty much have a good impression of okonomiyakis

Do give it a try! Its only $10.90!
