Ever heard of the tau sar piah at Balestier Road? Most people would have, and it just so happened that the two of my favorite stalls selling tau sar piah are located at the same place, just a few shops away from each other. Anyway, back to this, the tau sar piah that are freshly baked is way different from all those in supermarket. The pastry is light and flaky, with buttery smell, which goes very well with the sweet bean paste filling. There are other alternatives, there the salty bean filling,

Anyway, back to this, the tau sar piah that are freshly baked is way different from all those in supermarket. The pastry is light and flaky, with buttery smell, which goes very well with the sweet bean paste filling.

There are other alternatives, there the salty bean filling, yam, green tea, and many others at the shop. But the best by far is still the traditional sweet bean paste. Do give it a try!

The only bad thing is that the shop is a far walk from the MRT station.
