My first time trying the chinese style of chicken pies. The pastry is sweet and buttery unlike a normal chicken pie. The pastry used is the sweet shortcrust type unlike the regular puff pastry of a western chicken pie. The pie though small is deceivingly filling. The char siew chicken filling inside the pastry is savoury and contrasts with the sweet pastry to make for a good match. Only qualm is that it is slightly expensive for the small size.
