I purposely came down during lunch today to try out this famous scissor-cut curry rice with my father after seeing a really long queue while passing by a few days before. My first impression of the stall is that they sell very different dishes from other curry rice stalls. And so, I ordered some ngoh hiang, braised pork chop, cabbage and egg for about $4. The presentation is as bad as it can get, but I'm not deterred by any awful looking food as long as it taste good.

After the meal, I felt that the taste doesn't suit me. The curry and the combination of red and black gravy isn't my cup of tea. For the record, I do love curry rice a lot. Other than the ngoh hiang which is quite good, the rest I don't like. Some people might like this, but not me. And I won't be going back again.
