I purposely came down during lunch today to try out this famous scissor-cut curry rice with my father after seeing a really long queue while passing by a few days before. According to my father, this is the first scissor-cut curry rice in Singapore.My first impression of the stall is that they sell very different dishes from other curry rice stalls. My first impression of the stall is that they sell very different dishes from other curry rice stalls. And so, I ordered some ngoh hiang, braised pork chop, cabbage and egg for about $4. The presentation is as bad as it can get, but I'm not deterred by any awful looking food as long as it taste good.After the meal, I felt that the taste doesn't suit me. The curry and the combination of red and black gravy isn't my cup of tea. For the record, I do love curry rice a lot. Other than the ngoh hiang which is quite good, the rest I don't like. Some people might like this, but not me. And I won't be going back again.
