Sadly, the concept of a 'tea room' is nowhere near its title. I felt uncomfortable eating in the restaurant because there were no partitions for privacy. With the open-concept restaurant near Daiso Japan in IMM, anyone who passes by would naturally want to take a look at what you're eating.
The menu doesn't clearly state that payment must be made when you order, and it is not surprising to spot a queue at the counter.

If you're there, it's a MUST to try their Noodles!

I ordered a bowl of Shrimp Wanton Noodles, while my dining partners ate Dumping Soup Noodles (水饺面)for SGD4.50 each. One can't really tell the difference between the two.

Take a closer look and you will find that the Dumplings are larger in size as compared to the Shrimp Wanton.
The fillings of the Shui Jiao consisted of minced meat and chopped vegetables.

The wanton's filling is made of minced pork, coarsely diced shrimp, finely minced ginger, finely minced onions, sesame oil and soy sauce. I can't help but find a close similarity with the Italian tortellini or Jewish kreplach.

We also ordered Fried Brinjal with pork floss for SGD3.00. It was crispy, delicious and fragrant all at once! I would definitely recommend OpenRicers to try it.

Recommended Tips
1. Go really early, avoid lunch peak hours and dinner peak hours. We spotted a really long queue. The entrance of the restaurant is at the Daiso Japan's side.
2. Avoid bringing bulky bags because there isn't really any space for you to place your belongings.
3. The lighting there is great to take good pictures of your food!
