Graced by a welcoming atmosphere, Marriott Café is a lovely restaurant that offers a buffet spread at different hours of the day. My companion and I went for the hi-tea buffet, and it costs $43.55 (incl. 10% service charge & 7% GST) per person. The type of food varies daily, but we were very glad that they offered a wide variety of choices for us to select from. On the day itself, a majority of the display were mainly asian cuisine. A beautiful and spacious ambience, I felt what was missing was classic music and the smell of Marriott to give them its' identity.

For starter, Bak Kut Teh (English: Meat Bone Tea) is an excellent choice to increase your appetite. I believe the restaurant has boiled it for rather long, because there is a strong pork rib aroma in the soup. I couldn't help but notice that there are more bones than meat in the soup though, I believe the meat must have probably melted away and sank into the bottom of the pot.

My heart went all out to these three giant bowls of white prawns, because hardly anyone was eating them. Perhaps it would have been much more wise to have them all peeled, or have a service crew who helps to peel prawns..

The best part of the buffet was the smoked salmon and the Norwegian salmon!

This is the tastiest FISH I EVER EATEN, it is extremely addictive and I was torn in between gobbling down the whole piece or savouring it to the last. Thank God I didn't have to fret because it was a free-flow buffet! *dances and twirls around*
There's also a wide variety of garnish available, you can select as many lemons as you want.

The succulent and spicy Otah Otak had the smell of grilled fish in it, and it perfectly suits the tastebuds of a typical Singaporean! Most of us do have a preference for spiciness in our food, thus the Otah Otak is a popular favourite among the guests who were were eating there at that time.

Also, the Popiah (English: Spring Roll) that is prepared fresh on the spot is extremely crispy. At face value, it's one of a traditional cuisine derived from Fujian, China. I believe tourists from other continents would fall in love with this sweet-tasting, crunchy snack!

Prawn noodles have been one of my favourite childhood meals that I would eat for lunch. I couldn't help but slurp down the long strands of yellow noodles, and the soup was so thick in prawn flavour it made me squeal a little. My companion dislike the smell of the prawns, so this is a love-it-or-hate-it dish.

Dim sum such as steamed pork buns and Siew Mai is also served in the buffet. I guess as part of the buffet experience, you really must try dim sum though its' flour would make you full quite easily.

The dessert was the most exciting part of the experience because there is quite a large variety of sweet treats dedicated to chocolate. There is also a station for ice-cream and you can select different nuts, biscuits or chocolate/rainbow rice to go along with it.

Here's my self-serve ice-cream containing nuts and rainbow rice, and some toppings which I don't even know? I'd appreciate if they actually label the jars.

Lots of Kueh in Singapore... I wish they'd label each one of them so people would know what they actually contain. I love the way they lay them out though, and I really appreciate their effort in placing the kuehs in neat rows. I was quite disappointed that there were nothing on durians, since durians is really a local dish and you must eat it when you come to Singapore. Perhaps they wouldn't want to scare the customers off with the smell, but still, it could have been like a durian crepe station or something!

With that. do note that the drinks are only limited to Coffee, Tea and water. You have to ask the waiter to serve you, and the coffee is Bon Café, thus making it relatively thick!
