Tiong Bahru has just sprouted another chic cafe with good food and coffee. The slew of new cafes like Forty Hands, Orange Thimble, Open Door Policy and now Drips bodes well for this ultra-hip area which is achingly nostalgic with its old-style residences and to-die-for local fare. The food at the cafe is made by former Shangri-La pastry chef, Alfred Chan, and what a delight to have gorgeous food in a nice setting

The Fig Croissant was ABSOLUTELY LOVELY!!! The fig was fresh and glazed delicately over the croissant. It's a pity the croissant was not as crispy as I expected but you can't have a crispy croissant and fresh fruit topping together wihtout sacrificing one or the other.

The Iced Chocolate was very well made with the right amount of chocolate syrup, milk and ice. I didn't feel that it was overly sweet or chocolatey.

A great, relaxing way to spend the morning with good food and good friends
