Tangs Market reopened with nine new stalls featuring hawker heritage fare.One of the nine stalls is the Jia Jia Penang Lor Selamat Fried Oyster.I ordered a plate of fried oyster for S$5.00.I like the texture of the fried oyster. Since I was the first customer of the day, it took almost ten minutes for the cook to prepare the first batch of oyster omelette. I like the texture of the fried oyster.
Since I was the first customer of the day, it took almost ten minutes for the cook to prepare the first batch of oyster omelette. The egg omelette was a bit soft and wobbly inside but not over overwhelmingly starched.
There were a good mixture of eggs and tapioca flour.
Though it’s a bit oily, I like the overall flavour. It wasn’t too salty.
The oysters was fresh unlike those shrivelled ones that we normally get from the hawker centre.
