Dinner at Chilli's at The Central is perhaps one of the most pleasant dining experiences I've had in The Central. Chilli's serve Mexican food at affordable prices, with really generous portions in a chill, familly-friendly setting and to top it off? Excellent service! The outlet at The Central is spacious and can accommodate large group gatherings. The outlet at The Central is spacious and can accommodate large group gatherings. The interior is designed in a very Texas cow-boy/South American style complete with cowboy rodeo posters and High Noon wallpapers. We were ushered to the table by very friendly waitstaff who then proceeded to explain the Happy hour promotions. I settled on ordering a chicken quesadilla for $21.
This dish accentuates the subtle flavours that go into Mexican food and not just the stronger, more overpowering flavours that the spices and sauces seem to give. Extremely well done -nothing was overcooked, too salty, nor did I get the impression that the dish was hastily thrown together. Definitely not, it was cooked with heart and they had an eye of detail. The portion is also huuuuuge, so you may want to share this with a friend and order a side if you aren't too hungry!
The service here is definitely good, the waitress offered to get us sauces (Tabasco, Ketchup or Chilli?) without us asking for any, and we had observed that they had bothered to engage in conversation with a bunch of tourists nearby when introducing the Chilli's Happy Hour specials.
Definitely will come back to Chilli's on an empty stomach for another great meal.
