Tong Heng egg tarts are famed to be one of the best egg tarts and I can understand why it is so when I tried them yesterday. Their egg tarts are in a signature diamond shape with a wobbly crust. The crust is more towards the flaky crust even though it is not strictly so, since flaky crust egg tarts are enveloped in many layers but Tong Heng’s egg tarts are not really layered. Regardless, it is still very tasty because the crust is thin and flaky and with each bite, I could taste more of the smoo

The crust is more towards the flaky crust even though it is not strictly so, since flaky crust egg tarts are enveloped in many layers but Tong Heng’s egg tarts are not really layered. Regardless, it is still very tasty because the crust is thin and flaky and with each bite, I could taste more of the smooth and wobbly egg tart. Although it is slightly sweeter than I would like it to be, it is still acceptable. They also sell a coconut egg tart which I will like to try next time.
