Each time that I head over to Cathay Cineleisure for movie, I will have my meals at the food court downstairs. Little did I know of this hidden gem tucked right in front of the building, near to the youth park- *scape! At $6.50 per plate of the famous belly pork rice with a bowl of soup, I would think that the price is a little steep, but given the huge serving, I would think that it is worth the price. I was a little disappointed with the pork though and even my friend (who had been a regular patron of the stall and the one who has recommended me this place) agreed in unison. The skin (which is supposedly the best part) is not crispy at all, making it a gruelling experience while attempting to chew the meat. It is best eaten with the sauce since the meat itself is too dry. My friend believed that the meat had been left aside for too long since it was not served piping hot. What a pity. Maybe next time i will head there to throw the chicken which I heard will definitely be more tender.
