MOF @ Japanese Sweets & Coffee (Closed)

There were many different kinds of ice cream desserts on the menu but we were only looking at the ones with matcha. there was one with matcha ice cream, with red bean and glutinous rice balls, another one with the matcha ice cream and cereal at the bottom, and the third one which has the ice cream, red bean and fruit toppings. the matcha ice cream was an absolute delight!! It taste so good!

Shira Sesame Gelato Mini ($5.2)Mof icecream is expensive but nice.Their environment is also nice. the glutinous balls are really soft and Q. But it will stuck in my teeth.It is tasteless,so must eat with the sesame icecream.The sesame ice cream is very nice,not so sweet but have a strong "fragrance" of sesame.This make the combination of glutinous balls and sesame icecream is great.the more concentrated sesame at the bottom taste nice too..

The picture on the menu was extremely misleading. The size of the pancakes were at least half the size of Macdonald’s and the scoop of the ice cream was also smaller than the usual one scoop. Overall taste of the dish was okay, the chocolate ice cream was good. Pancakes were average. Service was good at the outlet.

Thought the desserts are awesome & the service is pretty good especially the outlet @ LOT1. MOF's desserts are the most best things in Singapore, but they are quite expensive. It is still worth for the high quality. The ice cream was very creamy and i think it is better than the Mc's sundae cone,i like it very much. The dessert at MOF are very high standard. I love their ice cream. It is creamy and not that sweet. And the ice cream have a very strong fragrance of vanilla smell.

I did not know MOF has opened an outlet at Raffles City Shopping Centre beside Robinson taxi stand until I walk past it the other day. I was having dinner with my friends nearby Raffles City Shopping Centre and since we want to go for dessert I suggested MOF.Love their Hokkaido Gelato ice cream, rich and creamy. The al fresco outlet right outside Robinson taxi stand is an ideal place for people watching and chilling out with your friends.

Went to mof to meet someone officially so I just order the coffee. Usually in dramas, when the characters meet at cafe they will order coffee also lol. Anyway the cafe latte is nice, the milky and creamy texture make me love it. And the coffee is very fragrant, a bit bitter for me, but it really make me alert after drinking! They should have make some drawings on the coffee, because I love coffee arts!

Went there with collegues for dinner. I ordered Pork and Chicken Toji and dessert Macha Kakigori. It was tempting when received the food. The chicken and pork was tender and fresh. Ministry of food has many outlets in Singapore but this was my first time trying the food there. To me, I find that the variety is a bit limited. Each of us ordered a main meal for our dinner and shared some side dishes. The salmon was quite okay, still fresh but not as tasty as some other japanese restaurant. The hotpot was okay, just average standard. Nothing to shout about. Overall, I find this restaurant overrated. Maybe I will still patronize the outlet for their desserts.

This tomato chicken meatball spaghetti is really very plain and ordinary. The sauce and chicken meatball is just nice to eat. Suitable for children because is kind of healthy. Not really like it. With its long opening hours and numerous outlets islandwide, MOF (Ministry of Food) is a handy choice to satisfy the craving for sugar at odd hours.
