We were super lucky to meet the owner Chef Joe and even had a quick chat with him. Friendly and down-to-earth, he shared his passion for making spices using the secret recipe inherited from his parents. Their homemade sauces really elevated all the dishes we tried: The sweet and spicy sauce was like a flavour party to our taste buds - there were hints of egg, ketchup and even ginger flower! Besides complementing the fresh crab, it also went really well with a bowl of white rice, but the real Singaporean way is to pair with fried mantous!This was my first time trying stingray and the unique meat texture totally caught me off guard - it kind of melted in my mouth, but was still firm at the same time.
