It has been a while since I come here for meal. It was Saturday evening and my family decided to have our dinner here. Maybe it was because of the timing, not many stalls were opened. I didn't have much choice so I ended up with a bowl of bitter gourd fish beehoon. It looked rather plain, but it's really good enough for me. Not too salty and definitely good with the chilli padi. It would be better if there were more bitter gourd.

We ordered some lunch takeaways at this Koufu branch and I picked the Ban Mian. Just wanted something soupy and had tried from this stall before and find it not too bad. This time round I had the ban mian as normally I had the mee hoon kuay which was quite nice. Anyway the ban mian's texture was a bit thick and certain strands were not cooked thru enough otherwise everything will be okay. The soup base was clearly brewed with pork and ikan bilis and the taste was not too bad and no MSG.

Ban Mian is (i believe) one of Singapore's delicacies found throughout foodcourts in Singapore. The noodles are cut and pressed out from dough made of flour and eggs.I ordered the you mian (thin noodles) that came with fried Ikan Bilis, vegetables, minced pork, and fried onions. An egg was added into the broth just before the meal was served. I prefer to let my egg cook a bit more so it is half cooked. The soup tasted good, and it wasn't too salty, although the noodles could be cooked more, as i

The soup tasted good, and it wasn't too salty, although the noodles could be cooked more, as i found it to be a little hard.
