its always nice to hang out with friends . Met up with my friends and did some shopping spree @ bugis and had our dinner @ bishamon. Its my first time visiting this place. after much decision i made my choice which is curry chicken cutlet rice. The chicken cutlet is very nice
the gravey is thick instead of those watery kind and also its does not have a lot of curry powder taste. they also includes ingredients like potatoes and carrots so that the food dont look dull. The chicken is nicely fried, the meat is tender and its not very oily

My friend ordered the Bishamon curry combo i think (chicken karriage, pork katsu and fried tempura), and i decided to have another combo of the same (minus the chicken)

When our food arrive, i was pleasantly surprised that the curry sauce came with beef in it. The beef was delicious and i just love japanese curry as they are not spicy but more to sweet. The carrots and potatos were very soft too. The whole meal was very filling and i end up having to scrap off the remaining fried skin for my katsu and tempura as i find it oily after it's cold. My friend agree that it's one of our nicest jap meal that we had together
Mine was around $14 after GST (there's no svc charge).

My friends and I went to shop at Bugis Village hence we decided to dine at Bugis junction considering the close proximity between the two premises. We went to Basement one , Bishamon , because their menu were quite fascinating and caught our eyes. I decided on Pork Katsu and friend prawn curry rice. Their Ebi prawn is well fried, with cripsy bread crumbs on the surface. the curry does not taste very spicy and is well suited for me.

went down for lunch recently and ordered the tonkutsu char siew ramen. the soup was ok, quite thick but i dont understand why was there so many bubbles at the side of the bowl, it looked as if the staff never washed the bowl properly and still had soap on it. anyway, i was very shock when i saw the char siew, i felt as if i was eating pork belly. i know that char siew can be fatty but not till the extend like a slab of fats. but fats aside, the char siew still tasted quite nice but too salty als

wanted to order vegetarian gyoza to try but it was not available so only ordered niku miso ramen for lunch. the food was served very quickly so that was a surprise since normally i had to wait quite long for the food. however the ramen was quite disappointing. firstly, the ramen was very hard and tasted like normall mee. second, soup was too salty. i understand miso soup base tend to be more salty but i think this was too concentrated. thirdly was the pathetic portion of the beef. also for this

Dont understand how bugis junction can be so packed on a tuesday night, since everywhere else is packed we settled down at bishamon for dinner. Ordered their katsu rice with egg but then it was just average but they gave quite a lot of rice though. My friend ordered their ramen set which comes along with california maki and ebi prawn. She said it was not too bad. Had cravings for gyoza so we ordered that but it was a wrong decision because they were the worst gyoza i have ever eaten before. Serv

I heard from some friends that Bishamon had some nice ramen and decided to check it out myself one afternoon. Their original miso ramen costs $8.50 for a small bowl and the portion was somewhat like what a primary school kid would eat. The noodles were springy no doubt, but the ingredients were too little. Some bean sprouts, some corn, like 2-3 thin slices of beef and half an egg (YES, not even 1 egg like the one shown on the menu). The soup was dangerously salted. Adding on, I also ordered a gl

Adding on, I also ordered a glass of iced green tea ($1), which arrived at my table- 'ice-less'. The drink was badly diluted. It tasted like 90% tap water and 10% green tea. It was definitely a disappointing lunch.
