I had heard from my friends that taiwanese dessert was such a fave nowadays.So when I passby this Blackball outlet, I decided to went to a try.The menu was extensive, and so was the prices. I ordered the all time famous shown in the menu, BlackBall Signature Crushed Ice at $4.90.There was more crushed ice than ingredients in the bowl. There was more crushed ice than ingredients in the bowl. The crushed ice was quite tough and rough, making it hard to bite.

The grass jelly had a springy bite and was herbal.

The taro and radish balls were quite disappointing, I can only see different colour but cannot actually tasted the difference.

This was my second bowl of BlackBall signature. This dish comes with crushed ice topped with abundance of goodies such as grass jelly, honey yam, pearls, read bean, nata d coco, green bean, fresh milk and more. Its definitely one of the best desserts to end of your meal. I find that the portion is quite huge for 1 person, thus it may be a good idea to share it with another friend too.

At black ball there are many interesting items on the menu that i want to try.I had this the cranberry crushed ice with milk ($4.50). The dessert come with Nata De coco,red bean and tapioca pearls.The crushed ice is drizzled with cranberry sauce and milk.For a sweet tooth like myself, you will definitely enjoy this dessert because of the overdose cranberry syrup, it is quite sweet.

So I jumped on the bandwagon as well, to find out what the fuss was!We stood infront of the counter for like 1 min before deciding on what to get; Blackball Signature. It had to be good right? So when we got our dessert, my friend was exclaiming, why only grass jelly?? Apparently it's all hidden below the layer of grass jelly! So I mixed it! There’s taro balls, bubble tea pearls, red beans and some other which I don’t recognise. But my advice is to share among your friends. We were full afer eating just one bowl of this between us. Everything inside was jus very chewy. Chew, chew, chew like jellies.

I had went to cityvibe to have dessert with my friend after a long day of work. I am kind of full after dinner so i decide to try out their drink only. I ordered blackball red tea with 50% sugar level and personally i don't like to eat pearl so i requested the one without pearl. Well, it was a very cooling drink after a long tired day of work. Opted for the chilled/cold version, these refreshing treats are the best dessert of the year I had in Singapore so far. The perfect combination of chewy jiu fen yam balls, glass jelly, red beans and golden sweet potato balls are simply irresistible. Loves the chewy goodness given to me by the taro/yam and sweet potatoes ball and the chilling refreshing sensation through the big bowl of dessert.

Service is of average.

Ambience
Its rather quiet and even though the seating are less, we still get to have free choice in choosing most of the seats.

Price
No doubt that it is of good quality, the cost of a bowl of blackball dessert still sums up to a normal cost of the meal. Considering the price of a dessert, logically I will still go for those traditional desserts at a cheaper pricing.

Ordered the Blackball Signature ice on a rainy afternoon. The portion is ok, filled with ingredients such as the herbal jelly (xian cao dong), Yu Yuan, mini pearls and red bean. The herbal jelly is soft and less sweet, though I would prefer it to be a little more chewy. The yu yuan is chewy enough for me and I thought it was good. The red bean and pearls are pretty normal. My favourite has got to be the blackball signature dessert! I love how there are 4 variations of this ranging from hot, warm, cold and icy cold. I chose the icy cold one and it was so refreshing! The ingredients go well with each other. I am not a fan of those pearls though. Nonetheless, the combination goes well. One of my favourite ingredients has got to be the sweet potato balls!

Many of the bubble tea stalls have closed down in clementi, probably due to the fierce competition. I notice this Taiwanese dessert shop open inside cityvibe. As I was too full to try their desserts, I ordered their bubble tea instead. I ordered their BOBA green milk tea. it was not too bad, their green tea is just like those Taiwanese bubble tea stall’s ones. Very fragrant, no hint of bitterness. I like the milky taste. I would say eating it the icy way is a must try!! It's really nice. It brings out the sweetness of the grass jelly.
