I had brought a cake from breadtalk on January this year. I still remember how friendly and the excellent service by the counter lady at bishan, breadtalk. I have to say, breadtalk have been improving alot in their cakes. the number of cake and different flavour to suit all people taste bud. and of course the appearance always make me have the urge to buy one home.

Passed by 10pm and hear the ladies at the counter shouting 5 for $6,10 for $10.

Anyways not much choices left as people had grabbed theirs and the cashier counter is busy.

The chocolate muffins at Breadtalk is one of our favourites as it's rich in chocolate flavours and muffins not dry. We also like their sausage buns as the chicken sausages were long and tasty and bun soft even when you buy till late night.

Good value to buy as normally the muffins would cost $1.50 each and services at this outlet was fast as even though the queue was long, there are 3 ladies at the counter serving.

My new found love for BreadTalk's muffins, the chocolate ones of course. They also have them in green tea and blueberry flavors. I know that they have been around for a long time and bulk batches are usually baked and brought out to the shelves at once, but I had never thought of trying them. The chocolate muffins aren't overly sweet, the opposite of what I thought. They are filled with heavy chocolate flavor, chocolate chips and softness. I enjoyed each piece so much.

sunflower seed, black sesame and white sesame with walnut inside. Very suitable for those very health conscious. Quite a chewy texture but slightly dull taste. Slightly dry too and I suggest to serve it with a cup of hot coffee or Milo. This multigrain bread is high in fibre and suitable to eat as breakfast

It was time to get some breakfast and i always turn to breadtalk for its delicious pastries and bread!I got a loaf of raisin bread which was thickly cut and deliciously soft and fluffy! Enjoy the bread with a spread of jam, kaya or butter! My favorite however, is to lather it with a thick slab of butter. Yummy!

The dried orange peels would have tasted better on its own. On the other hand, the potato bun I tried was average. I guess some of their new items does not taste as good as it looks! =S Safer to stick with their signature products no?

Breadtalk has recently done a revamp. They now have Icing Room and Breadtalk both under the same unit .Toast Box has moved to another building nearby within short walking distance. They are available in three flavors: cinnamon, chocolate with hundreds and thousands, hazelnut. My favorite is the cinnamon as I find it really unique. It is best eaten on the spot upon freshly baked when it is still warm and soft. It cost $3.30 for 3, otherwise $1.30 each.

As the title of this review says, yes do not bother getting a takeaway. Having the simple old fashioned snacks at Toast Box itself is fine as they're served nicely on porcelain plates and bowls and served warm. However, took away a Wu Tao Gou(yam cake) today and as soon as it got home, it became a piece of junk despite a microwave heat up. Basically the yam cake just became coarse, starchy and dry. Also, the sweet sauce wasn't fragrant nor traditional. Instead it tasted commercially factory-made

Also, the sweet sauce wasn't fragrant nor traditional. Instead it tasted commercially factory-made and well to break it down, it simply just didn't blend with the taro cubes/rice flour. $1.50 for a miserable piece of junk.
