I went to breeks with my friends for an annual gathering..I love the food presentation the best and the overal ambience is good. Clean and quiet and very suitable for young people.Food is good, but the presentation is so good that it pains to destroy the looks of it.Price is alright and I recommend you to go for the set promotions. it's more worth the money.. Portion is just nice too. I finished my food and feels just right too..

I rarely tried Breeks because I feel that it's just normal Western fare, over-priced. Also, there's not much variety of food. Went there to celebrate my friend's birthday. Ordered the grilled fish with pasta and sparkling drink, those kind of drink which is sweet and fizzy. The grilled fish is tender and I love the melt-in-my-mouth feeling when I eat fish with sauces. The tomato spaghetti is nicely cooked and tastes well on its own too.

After all of us had finished eating, the staff came out with the cake and started singing happy birthday song. Prompt and attentive service!

Without waiting further, I ordered for myself the seafood pasta set accompanied with Iced lemon tea.

Waiting time is rather decent, it came much earlier than I expected.
The seafood pasta was beautifully decorated and I guess they deserve some applaud for their creative effort.
In terms of taste, it was rather disappointing thou.

The tomato sauce doesnt seem to mix well with the pasta and seafood.
Seafood was bland and it didnt absorb any tomato flavor. There was not much seafood flavor in the whole pasta and it just ruin the nice presentation.

Overall, I find it below average.
Nice place to chill out with friends, but not for the food.

The fish and chips is another dish u cannot miss. the fish they use is very fresh and sweet. coated with bread crumbs and deep fried till golden brown! it is indeed yummy. it also comes with coslaw and crispy chips. yummy!

The service there is quite good, food does not take long to come.

It is also a good place to chill out with friends!

Went with my besties to Breeks Cafe at Marina Square for dinner!The place was pretty small i would say, not much seatings available (especially for a large group like ours during the dinner crowd).Had the bake dory fish glazed with mushroom sauce- $15.90 and i must say, i really loved the mushroom sauce! Although i had to ask for more sauce since there wasn't much to begin with. The fish was normal, grilled dory fillet, abit overcooked but overall alright i guess. Verdict: 3.5/5Anyway, moving on

The fish was normal, grilled dory fillet, abit overcooked but overall alright i guess.
Verdict: 3.5/5

Anyway, moving on, my friend had the BBQ half chicken- $15.90. I liked the skin but the meat on the inside was bland and tasteless. They could have done more marinating next time!
Verdict: 2.5/5

We were feeling abit adventurous and decided to order a 'MASSIVE ATTACK'. And boy was it an 'attack'. It definitely is massive, but it wasn't that good. Didnt really get much taste (especially since everything was melting) we were like against the clock trying to finish it, which we didn't in the end! haha. I don't really recommend this.

Verdict: 1/5

Overall, it was a pretty average dining experience, although i've been here during lunch hours and the service is so much better then! (:

Set Lunch menu

Set lunch being offered priced at $9.90 ++ with a choice of a pasta / chicken pattie melted, a drink & soup of the day.
Soup of the day: Potato chicken soup

Caesar salad ($6.90++)
Caesar dressing served @ the side, bread croutons were crispy and fragrant!

Chicken Pattie Melted ($9.90++)
The chicken pattie melted was served with seasonal veggies & mashed potatoes but I kindly request them to change the mashed potatoes to waffles fries.
The chicken pattie taste like those frozen chicken patties ( for burgers) and simply top it with a slice of cheese & onions . The chicken pattie is a mixture of mushrooms, spinach , *cashew nuts & chicken meat. It was rather bland on it’s own but they top it with a slice of cheese( which turned rubbery when cool) serve with BBQ sauce.
* I carefully picked them out one by one
The waffles fries were seasoned with some cajun seasoning & they were simply addictive!

Verdict: Simple western food , nothing special or outstanding but I wished to applaud for the excellent service ( courteous & attentive ).
