Decided to go for a light and easy meal after my dental appointment. As I walk into the food fare, what interest me most is none other than A1's Claypot porridge Stall.FoodSlice Fish Porridge - Reasonably price at $4.90Sprinkled with spring onions, ikan billis and braised peanuts. Ingredients (Especially the fish slices) is sufficient. Porridge is of congee, when left it cool, the top layer will b Hor Fun - $4Standard is alright and it tastes as of a normal plate of Hor Fun. What makes it special is that it is placed in a claypot.ServiceHas to wait a while for the porridge to cook. The helper of the stall will call out loud that the porridge is ready. Mentioned to them to exclude the peanuts as I cant bite, however they did not remember.Service is generally moderate.AmbianceAs this is the food court, there is usually crowd around dining hours. It's hard to secure a seat during these time.PriceNormal pricing in a food court.Recommendation / Tips Hong Kong Boat Style Claypot Porridge is the recommended porridge.Becareful not to get scalded by the hot claypot. continue reading

This claypot porridge was served with century egg, meat, anchovies, and peanuts, sprinkled with spring onions and sesame oil. The century egg and meat is only a small portion but the porridge is super hot and in a big portion. So much so that I alone cannot really finished it. After finishing the porridge, tend to feel very thirsty could be they've added lots of pepper to make it tasty. continue reading

I decided to go with my girlfriend to try out the claypot stall at food fare. We both ordered the hotplate tou fu. The tou fu taste really nice, love the golden brown coating and the tou fu is very smooth. the gravy they cooked the tou fu is very tasty and goes really well with rice. there were other garnish like carrots which were cooked perfectly and did not have the raw taste. I was rather satisfied with the food! Finished every bit of it! continue reading

I was walking around clementi food fare and the smell of claypot totally drew me to the stall. without hesitation, I ordered their sesame oil chicken with white rice. it was really good, the gravy was very tasty and thick. It went really well with white rice. the chicken was kind of hard to eat though, it had a lot of bones. But the delicious sesame flavor seeped into the chicken. It was very tasty and very succulent. The amount of sesame oil that they added into the dish is just right and the smell is not too overwhelming. continue reading
