The Food
I ordered the Sauteed Broccoli with Scallops ($27.30), Braised Sharks Fin Broth with Crabmeat ($25.30) and Duck Roasted with Ten Wonder Herbs ($25.30).
The duck has a layer of crispy skin and tender duck meat infused with the 10 different types of herb gravy.
The Broccoli texture just nice, not too hard or soft and the scallops also super nice & juicy

The Service
I find the service to be quite good. Waitresses are friendly and attentive to our requests.
Overall, I've had a good impression of the service here.

The Ambience
Ambience is simple, cosy and comfortable with the ancient tables and chairs like the Inn. It is also suitable for group dining with family or friends.

The Price
Spent about $80 for the final bill.

Overall
I will definitely come back again to try the other dishes and highly recommended to try this !!

This is one of the signature dish at Dian Xiao Er. Normally it sold out really fast at most of the outlets so you will have to be there early to avoid disappointment. I like dian xiao er because their dish is very nice. They make me feel like im eating in home. This dish is not bad.Especially the fried "dong fen".It is very crispy and it becomes soft after dipping with the sauce. There are lots of mushroom, carrot, vege and others. It is really healthy and i like it as it's saltiness and sweetness is very right. The Herbal Roast Duck is also very nice. The skin was crisp and the meat tender. It is very flavourful.

Dinner @ Causeway point's Dian Xiao Er, dining on a Thursday night is great.. not too crowded as compare to weekends.

for anyone dining there, if you want to make your meal slightly cheaper... skip the peanuts that they are serving... and maybe the wet towels too.. that's a few dollars difference!

Actually dinner today was a little budgeted... and that's what my partner and i ordered!

A soup of the Day ($5.50), Huai Shan with pork ribs soup... (some herbal soup) tasty, the soup really got the taste or the herbs.

also shared the small Ten Wonder Duck @ $12.80, as usual tasting great... but just finding the portion too light sometimes... reason because duck have more fats than chicken so for those who don't like the fats, then you will find it portion small after removing the thick layer of fats.

and also a plate of Dou Miao @ $8.30, dou miao was rather fresh, and not oily, healthy!

overall it is quite filling... but come think of it.. it wasn't really that Budget too! lol..

Service was ok there... although we waited quite awhile for the duck to be ready...

the restaurant is quite spacious..

I had a discount coupon for the herbal duck, so I decided to bring my dad and boyfriend there as we had never dined there together before. Service was very slow despite it being a weekday. We ordered sweet and sour pork and vegetables to go with the duck. Both side dishes were exorbitantly priced. It cost over $10 for average tasting vegetables. The sweet and sour pork tasted good though, slightly better than what you get from the coffee shop's zhi char stall. However, the highlight of the day w

However, the highlight of the day was the herbal duck. It lived up to my expectation. The serving size was generous, and although the meat was covered in sauce, the skin still managed to retain its crispness. No wonder it's their signature dish. The sauce also went well with white rice.
