Have takeaway 4 pieces of this fried spring roll from this stall for my quick bite breakfast.  The price is only at $1.20 per piece which is quite cheap.  The stall is quote clean but not much choices are available to choose when I reach there.  The counter staff is quite fast in service and polite.  Spring roll skin is a bit hard and alresdy cold.  Was quite oily as well and the mixed vegetable filling is plain and not tasty. Taste so-so only which my family member also say not nice. continue reading

I bought this for supper with mom and dad. I love eating their char siew bao...it is tiny in size but have ample char siew fillings and super thin skin. The swettness is just right and the char siew is more lean meat than fats...I like! Their char siew bao is currently selling at 90cents a piece. Other yummy stuffs sold there are their Lotus leaf rice and pork bao...yummy! continue reading

The large bao from ho kee pau is really good. the pau is really soft and fluffy. It is very light as well. they are very generous with their fillings. The fillings were cooked perfectly. Not too salty. The meat was very tender and juicy. the egg was not over cooked, it was pretty crunchy. One pau is simply filling, I ate it and was full till lunch time. It really makes very good breakfast. continue reading

i was quite shocked by the standard of the buns here. the pastry skin is very poor quality and cannot withstand condensation and steam and started to fall apart the minute it was places in the plastic bag, sticking to the bag and just falling off. the filling was also very disappointing. the carrots looked like fake carrots and the taste was very salty and fake. it's also more expensive than other bun places. not recommended. very poor quality. continue reading

I have bought their Da Pau for dinner. Their skin is not as thick as compared to the other baos, so one will get a good combination of fillings and skin. Their bao's skin also has a glossy effect which makes the bao look more appetising. The meat is chunky enough for visual and texture identification but a little bit tasteless. The baos from Malaysia is more yummy if compare here. continue reading
