I never leave this bakery without getting more custard pies and char siew soh (roast pork pastries) to go!! Because even though I get a few custard pies to eat on the spot, I MUST BRING SOME MORE HOME WITH ME TO SHARE!! Even though the char siew soh is like $1.20 and is more expensive than the tiong bahru bakery right next to it.. the pastry of the char siew soh will amaze you like the pastry of the custard pie does.. I really love their custard pastries.. Over the past few years, with increased prices, this bakery has managed to keep the custard pastry for just $1.10
yay! On a Sunday afternoon about 12pm is the time these puffs get injected with the custard and I strongly recommend you to try them out when they're that fresh out of the oven!!

The custard buns also a treat at $1.20 each but I'm a bigger fan of the puff pastry cone than the buns..

Have been searching high and low for this old time favourite Custard Bun and finally found it. Honestly, I went there in the afternoon. Bought two of them. The bun is a little harden but still bearable. Ya... Maybe the freshness level. The custard inside is awesome. The sweetness level is just right for me. However the bun is a little too big and thick, and the custard is not enough. How nice it can be if the bun is overflowing with custard. I will still come back for this once awhile.
