Being a fan of MOF, i cant help but to want to try out this place, which is under the MOF group too. I ordered the Hot plate chicken with mushroom, which i have to add on for the rice and mushroom soup. That's right. I actually have to pay for that bowl of soup which i can finish in 3 spoonful. Do i feel justified? Absolutely not. Did i mention it was supposed to be mushroom soup? Supposed. Because it don't taste like one. Luckily, the portion of rice was huge, and it is flavorful enough. Luckily, the portion of rice was huge, and it is flavorful enough. The egg on the hot plate is good, as with all that i have tried thus far. The chicken was fine, not much of a mention.

Over all, i had to say i was disappointed with the place. I would be better off in the proper MOF having my dessert. At least i shall feel more satisfied after my dessert.

Saw this promotion awhile ago & we decided to try it.

The whole buffet was pretty disappointing.
The pasta wasnt really good.very average.
Additional charge have to be given for the pizza.
The cheese fondue was great.
Chocolate fondue was normal.
The pancake were served with either savoury side dish or sweet.
I tried the savoury ones & the pairing tasted weird.
Preferred it with chocolate sauce & ice cream.

They had this ice blended section & the ice wasnt blend finely.
feels like ice kachang with change of syrup.

They had this chocolate fried banana.

I realise that the portions were really filling.
For each pancake dish we order,2 pancakes were given.
We ordered about 4 pancake dishes & there were 8 pancakes that we had to finish. Most of our stomach are filled with pancakes & banana.

It would be better if the portions are smaller to allow us to try more variety.

This is only good if you love pancakes.
Even the omelette they offer wasnt up to standard.
I tried a few & it wasnt good.

Really hope that they would improve on their food standard & variety.
The only thing they did was to take 2 pancakes & pair with salmon, bacon for savoury.& ice cream syrups for sweet.

Pasta was really bland. Not much ingredients were given.
Wouldnt go back again unless they improve their menu & food quality.

We ordered Diced chicken pasta in cream sauce, ham&mushroom in cream sauce and potato wedges. & because we came in between 12-3pm, we could have a special lunch set which included a main course, a drink, a soup of the day, salad bar and a dessert!

Salad bar was alright, the normal kind you can whip up at home.
The ham & mushroom was really good! The cream sauce was just right with the thickness and "creaminess".
The diced chicken pasta was however a little disappointing. We thought the chicken were a little uncooked.

The wedges were pretty good too!

Service was prompt and the staff were all friendly.
Overall, we had a satisfying meal over at Lenas and we'll definitely go back to try the rest of the food on the menu!

Lenas is a good place for those who wants Italian Food. My friends and I went there for dinner, we waited for 30 mins for our seats. Overall, The service is ok and the food not too bad and comes in a big portion The only thing that bothers me is that: if you comes for gathering, the food is not served for everybody at the same time. I also know that there served tea-time buffet, will try on my next visit

This restaurant was featured in the Channel 5 food programme "Buffetlicious" (hosted by Sylvia Ratonel & Michelle Chia) in mid 2010. In it, the "ice-cream buffet" is featured. However, when I went in July 2010, apparently there is no ice-cream buffet, but there is a "high-tea buffet", served between 2-6pm.

Though it is said to be "high tea", actually you are allowed to order a main course, which includes pasta (yes, a full-sized pasta you ate at other restaurants). You are also allowed to order an egg omelette, and a fondue set only once per person. Other than these "restrictions" (or "bonuses"), there are plenty of sundaes, ice-creams, juices, pancakes stuff. If you say you want to try one of each flavour, I would tell you that in order to do that, you need to starve yourself for a full week!

There are several varieties of egg omelettes, but due to the sheer variety of foods in the buffet, the omelette is not among my favourites. Or rather, my taste buds are skewed towards the sweeter stuff...

Fondue: a choice of either the cheese or the chocolate fondue. Not bad.
Tip: do not order additional potato wedges in the menu as the fondue already has a fair share of these wedges.

Crisp fried bananas in chocolate sauce: not bad, though you may have problem eating it if your stomach is close to full capacity.

Pancakes served with ice-cream: yes, I'm not stopping you from eating this....

There are order "forms" for you to fill and pass to the waiters when ordering. Mind you, you are only allowed to submit the forms thrice.
So do you think 4 times would be more fair? Haha... even entering LENAS, I'm prepared to submit it thrice. But after ordering the pasta, egg omelett, fondue, several ice-creams, drinks & pancakes in the first 2 rounds, I could not bring myself to make a 3rd order!

Despite that, I left the restaurant with a happy stomach & a happier mind. All this with only $23.30 leaving my wallet! I don't even think about those new fats which I need to burn off my butt!

The set lunch
I was attracted to the $9.90++ set lunch . You get to choose with a pasta, pizza or chicken as main course . Each set comes with garlic bread, salad & a glass of iced peach tea.

The Menu
Upon seated, 3 different menus were placed on the table . The Menus- Set Lunch, Ala Carte & dessert & beverages. An order form is also provided ( tick along the dishes you want for the lunch sets). They offer a wide selections of salads & appetizers which I took a while to glance through. Even for the main course, it allows you to choose the type of sauce to go along with your steak, meat or fish.

Lenas adopt a ‘‘DIY” concept where *everything is placed on the dining table and you would have to ”serve” yourself.

* Cups for you to refill water , plates, bowls, serviette, utensils, seasonings, credit card holders ..etc

Salad buffet
A $ 5 top up is required for the salad buffet if you order a main course. A small bowl is given to you & pile as much as you want! *Only one time is allowed. The usual greens , dressings & condiments. They do provide hard boiled egg, mashed potatoes and garlic bread.

Garlic bread & grilled tomatoes
I didn’t enjoy the garlic bread as it was slightly on the dry side.

Basil pesto chicken ($11++)
Do note that the main courses are served with only a small grilled tomato alongside.
The chicken was well grilled (imo), the meat was juicy, especially the parts under the skin. The chicken was well marinated and the basil sauce is just for dipping purpose.
The chicken skin was incredibly crispy, which reminds me of roast pork skin… sinful indulgence!

Verdict: I can’t really give my verdict now since I only had the grilled chicken. There were -ve reviews about LENAS but I guess its all about consistency and personal preference. Perhaps I would return again to try the range of appetizers they offer and then give my verdict.
