The Banana they use is very fresh that is why from every bite you will be able to enjoy and taste the sweetness of the banana fritters. Though it's very oily, i really would mind having for snack every day.
If you happen to be at that area then you must try !!!

We were on a dessert food trail at Maxwell market, Chinatown. One of the recommended dessert was fried banana from Lim Kee (Orchard) Banana Fritters. The crispy outer crust with the sweet banana was sinful but quite nice. The fritter was served hot and the centre of banana was still soft and tender, giving this local delight Goreng Pisang a very nice texture.

Altough i love to eat bananas, but sometime it would be good if i can have it in the deep fry version just to have some changes. The banana fritters have really win the heart of mine as they are very crispy on the outer layer and the banana meat itself is very soft and moist. With the natural sweetness in it that make it taste so delicious. Less than a dollar per piece and it is always serve hot to you, it is definitely a good buy too!

I always couldn't resist buying a goreng pisang (fried banana) from Lim Kee whenever I walked pass Maxwell. It's most probably because I associated it with my happy childhood memories. Today, I purchased a pisang rajah (the larger banana) to munch on. At $1.50, this irresistable unhealthy snack was getting a little pricey. Still, I was happy that the quality of the fried banana did not drop along the years. It was still warm when served. The crust was crispy and surprisingly, not too oily. The warm banana also gave off a very nice addictive fragrance with each bite.
